What's next?
OH FUCK
You fling the sword away from the three of you, checking your own hands for any signs or radiation burns. Nothing on you at least. You looked at the sword but there was no shimmering, when you'd thrown it you'd pulled the magic back into yourself, something that you maybe shouldn't have done but you didn't get burned at least.
"Let me see your hands." You say to the others, hurriedly inspecting their out stretched hands.
"What's going on?" Green asked, her playfulness completely absent at the tension in your voice.
"Hard to explain." You answer. Their hands look normal, no odd bumps, discolouration or other marker.
"Christopher." Green's tone is still serious, needing more information.
You don't answer for a moment as you finish the inspection. There doesn't seem to be any lasting damage. The radiation burns had healed completely. "Do you have," you pause because the simple fact there isn't a word for cancer kinda implies there isn't any cancer. However, "A word for if someone has a lump on their body that keeps growing?"
Green and Mary look at each other. "What?" Green asks, still serious and with a bit of frustration at your not explaining.
Magic doesn't heal genetic disorders, you know that from Oriana and her eyes. Cancer is a genetic mutation but it's not a natural one, so nonself-conscious magic should considering it an abnormality that needs to be healed. Still better to be safe. "Remember how I healed every, I need you to open your auras to me." You figured this might take some time for the simple fact you've just put both of them on edge.
"Done." Mary said as you felt her aura wrap around you, warmth and affection press into you.
"I need you to tell me what is going on. Is Mary in danger?" Green demanded.
"Alright." You take a moment to think about how to explain this to people who just don't have to scientific development to understand light waves. "Think of a rainbow." That earned a skeptical eyebrow from Green but she nodded. "Those colour are what you can see, but there are a lot more. If you go further along from violet light gets dangerous. The sword was producing a light that causes extreme damage. It feels like being burned but it's worse. It won't only destroy what it touches but what it doesn't outright kill it changes, and those changes, discoloured skin, lumps will starting killing over time."
"Will sharing your aura make sure we're healed?" Green asked when Mary nudged her. "I need to know Mary."
"It should but you'll need to keep checking your hands, any changes at all come to me." Your explanation isn't all that great in terms of real understanding but you hope it's enough.
Green studies your face for a moment then nods, her aura wraps around you along with Mary's. Beneath her nerves and concern you do feel her affection for yourself and Mary. Closing your eyes and trying to calm yourself you pull their auras inside yourself. Sadly you can't, you're worried, they're worried, you can feel that they want their auras to be absorbed but you really freaked them out. You open your eyes and smile at Mary, taking her hand, hoping that settling her will settle Green. You hadn't really resolved anything with your explanation, all you'd done was give them a reason a worry outside of empathizing with yours.
Mary smiles back and squeezes your hand but you can her magic. Swirling inside her hand she like she is trying to heal a wound. You bring her hand to your lips and kiss it. "Don't worry, I'm sure you're all healed. And if you settle, I'll be sure to 'thank' you one last time before relaying on Green to teach me how to do it properly." The reminder of your past teasing and the suggestion of rewarded oral makes her smile turn into a smirk. Her magic is still swirling in her hand but it settles a little.
Green doesn't seem to be all that affected by this. Raising your stump to her she grabbed it and you felt the same worried healing attempts. "Sorry, I worried you for probably nothing." Even now you couldn't just lie to calm them down. "I mean, whatever problem there might be this will completely resolve it." If you can teach a body to cure genetic disorders you will absolutely be able to undo any cancer.
Green nodded. "I better be getting some 'thanks' after as well." She mumbles as you feel her magic relaxing.
Trying to absorb their auras again you have more luck. Feeling them sinking into your skin the burst of emotions makes you pause for a second. Worry and fear are obvious pushing into your mind making it hard to hold onto their auras. Thankfully the mutual affection between everyone keeps them in check.
It's the first time you've actually experience Mary's emotions like this and it's quite the strange combination when it comes to you. Aside from the physical attraction you've come to expect and the emotion warmth there is an undercurrent, a playful hardness. Her time with the army and fighting had trained her to desire improvement, she enjoys conflict like Vatarie and winning like Asune but she also enjoys losing in a way. Proof that she has room to improve and that her opponent is getting stronger.
Green is a strange mirror to Mary. The same in all but playful hardness. Her enjoyment is almost exclusively focused on Mary. Her drive to protect and care born of more than duty or love but a devotion similar Oriana's to her religion. And then there is you, an odd wrinkle in her devotion, awareness that Mary cares for you, her own affection for you, but also the growing fear that you are a threat to Mary, maybe not just to her heart if you don't end up marrying her.
The emotions settle inside you with attraction and affection being the two you focus on. It makes holding the auras a little easier, say what you will about religious devotion, and you do, constantly, but it makes absorbing auras outside of sing physical pleasure so much easier. Blowing out a breath of effort you push the auras back. Filling Mary and Green with their auras along with a trickle of your magic.
"Ohhhh, that feels good." Mary moans.
Green nods as she closes her eyes and lets out a shaky breath. "Now I understand why everyone went so fuck crazy." She squeezed her legs together slightly. "Should I go find a brothel for us?" She asked Mary, though glanced questioningly at you.
"Give me a second." You say, letting them go. You'd like to further discuss brothels and how needed they are but you have another matter to deal with.
Walking over to you sword you carefully examine it, checking to see if there is any evidence of radiation. None that you can see but that's kinda the issue isn't it. At the very least you are confident you aren't affected by the radiation, or at least you heal so rapidly it doesn't matter to you. Grabbing the sword you wonder what you are supposed to use it for.
As the famous example goes, a gun is all well and good, a gun that causes cancer is just down right evil. And since your sword seems to pass through organic matter without cutting it ...
"Christopher," Mary purrs as you feel a hand pushing down on your shoulder. "You have some thanking to get to."
Green grabs your hips trying to turn you around as Mary keeps trying to force you to your knees.
"Still have to-" You are cut off by Mary putting a hand over your mouth.
"That didn't sound like a thank you." She whispered pushing even hard. That boost you'd given them hadn't just turned up the horny, without anything substantial to heal it had augmented their natural strength. Without reinforcing your magic there isn't a whole lot you're going to be able to do to resist being pushed to your knees and forces to eat them out.
Resist or just accept what was going to happen?
