Number 4

Hino takes a deep breath and looks at me.

"Eric, I love you." She says blushing deeply. She looks at me expectantly and I try thinking of what to say. After a few moments of silence Myla walks over to me. She punches my shoulder before talking.

"Come on. Tell her how you feel." She says smiling.

"Hino. You do know that I have three girlfriends right?" She nods before answering.

"Myla has told me about your relationships and how you treat herself and the others. But I don't mind."

"Okay, then Hino." I say grabbing her shoulder and pushing down my embarrassment. "I love you too." She smiles and wraps her arms around me.

"You did it!" Myla says joining the hug.

"So Myla, how long ago did you tell Hino about this?" I ask her.

"Remember when she asked to meet up after school on Wednesday? We talked about it the night before. She told me she loved you and since we've been friends since we meet at age thirteen, I decided to help her out." She answers and we pull away from each other. "Now Eric, isn't there something you're forgetting?" She says while brushing some hair behind her ear and revealing her small earing that she got when I made her a Citizen.

"Hino, let me see your hand." I say reaching out and she nods. I take her hand and make her my Citizen. I see a small purple crystal appear in her hand. A moment later the crystal shrinks and two small and thin metal lines start appearing from its sides. They reach out and grow before bending into a circular shape and making a ring. She puts it on and smiles.

"Thank you." She says sounding a little embarrassed.

"Well is there anything else?" I ask them and Hino hugs me again.

"Could you take us with you next time you enter the Ruins? They're pretty rare and the last time either of our guilds got assigned one, we were to young and inexperienced to enter." Myla says.

"Sure. I haven't talked to Luna about it but I was thinking of going back in on Saturday morning. We entered this morning and by the time we finished the first floor, it was almost three. So that should give us enough time."

"That sounds good. Text us when you have a time and place and we'll see you there." Myla says and Hino lets go. I tell them bye and turn around to leave. My walk home is uneventful and I get there without issue. I open the door and see Asami and Luna chatting on the couch.

"Eric, what took you so long?" Asami asks sounding both worried and angry.

"Sorry. The guilds had a lot to talk about but it's all fine now. We entered a new pact to alleviate their concerns." I answer her and Luna stands up.

"Good." She says walking to me and hugging me. "Who's sent is this?" She asked looking up at me.

"That would be Hinos. You've met her before." I say and Asami walks up to me with a smug and happy grin.

"Expanding the harem, are we?" She says and I sigh.

"It's not like that. Anyway Luna I have something for you." Luna looks at me curiously and I sit down. She sits next to me with Asami on my other side. I take out the Spellbook Liz helped me make and hand it to her. "Liz helped me make it. If you read it it'll teach you the Ancient Beast Magic that Bergeth gave me." She looks at the book excitedly and immediately opens it. This is the first time I've seen someone else do this. Normally when I read them I don't see what happens. instead I immediately open my notifications. So I'm surprised to see the letters in the book transform into a faint golden light and flow into her. It only lasts a few moments before the book joins the letters. Once all the light has entered Lunas body she lets out a deep breath and looks at me excitedly.

"It worked!" Luna shouts while jumping out of her seat. "Eric, can we fight!" She asks me grabbing my hands.

"Nope!" Asami says, pulling Luna off me.

"Aww, why not?" Luna asks disappointed.

"You two spent half the day in the Ruins, then Eric had to meet the guilds. So you can tomorrow AFTER he finishes school." She says sternly. Luna sighs and gives in. "Good. Now let's eat." She continues and walks into the kitchen. I follow her and help her carry three plates of food. We take them out to the living room and start talking about our days. I tell them what happened with the guilds and they tell me what they did while I was gone. I did hesitate to mention my Mana Surge and, as I expected, they each got mad. After they scolded me and we finish eating we go to bed. As I'm laying down though I remember I haven't checked my notifications all day. I open them up while the girls snuggle up to me.
