At the Embassy?
Nothing important happens...
We immediately know today's batch of sick people are faking. They're all very obviously extremely healthy men when half of them should be women, the Diagnose talent from the Life sphere says they're perfectly healthy, a Burrowing Spell Touchsight means that they really can't hide the standard issue guns they're carrying, and the only way they could possibly have gotten those past the US guards on the perimeter in such quantities is with active cooperation. I quietly give a few orders via telepathy and add some buff spells to my minions via Incursion Link… so nobody's even slightly surprised when they draw and fire on my summons.
Well, okay, the black ops guys are surprised: Their guns just go click.
Incursion Link from Conjuration let me cast through the minions. Burrowing Spell on Touchsight from the Divination sphere let me see what I was doing. The rest was the Warp sphere: Ranged Warp let me move things at range. Teleport Object let me do items without creatures. Unwilling Teleport let me grab things without needing permission. Mass Teleport lets me do so with many items at once. Burrowing Spell again let me remove the bullets from the guns and the batteries from their radios. And once they commit, I put them all on ice via Extradimensional Torpor the same way to get them off my embassy… and then apply Stasis Storage so I don't need to worry about them starving to death in captivity.
And hey: A hundred elite black ops agents are worth enough experience to level up.
Amusingly, I find I'm running out of non-redundant things to buy. Technological Wonders means temporary things that are supposed to have short durations instead last forever, and there's a lot of short duration buffs that are really not meant to be always on: I'm functionally immune to basically everything. Likewise, spells provide all the offensive punch I could want, especially Spheres of Power: I have multiple options for killing a city there. Weather can bury a couple miles in burning heat, freezing cold, massive flooding, lethal radiation, insane winds, or any combination of the above… permanently. I've seen first hand the void that Dark can produce, and Light can do similarly. Then of course, there's the Destruction Sphere. Time can create perfectly loyal copies of myself at full strength. So I go with some more numbers boosting (Intelligence to attack and saves when piloting my mech, which is basically always) the ability to swap damage types on spells, and the ability to give other people easy access to a slightly limited Shapechange spell… which also lets me talk to them whenever at any range, send Suggestion spells to them, and read their minds while they're actually using it: A gift for friends, a curse for enemies.
It's not long before I'm asked to join the UN.
Of course I decline.
I place an official observer, sure. But I'm not going to agree to the existing rules. Like… no militarization of space? My ship has orbital bombardment capabilities already, I'd be in violation. For that matter, I can just give Spaceflight to anyone I want via the Alteration sphere… which handles what little money I actually need, as all the space programs love my interplanetary courier service.
And of course, I keep feeding people milk. Slowly increasing the number of people in the world with magic. I keep an eye on all of them… I do NOT want another crater on my conscience… and eventually, the world is magic….
