Nothing... yet (Lizardman)

You roll the dice onto the board and it rattles around before settling down on a blank face. Weird, you thought all the sides had a face.

"Nothing?" Jane asked, peering in on the dice. Crickets from outside chimed in to add to the inactivity.

After waiting a couple minutes, you both were confident that the board was inert, and you just brought back a useless gimmick.

"I guess so," you replied. "What now?"

Jane yawned and stretched her arms. It was getting late into the night. "How about we call it?"

You rubbed your eyes. "Sounds good. I think I'm gonna sleep out here tonight. Too hot upstairs." Jane put on a brief frown, but didn't argue about it

"Alright. I'll head up then," she said, then planted a kiss on your cheek. "Goodnight, sweetie."

As Jane went upstairs, you got comfy on the couch and began to fall asleep. While you drifted off, the dice on the board etched a rune into its previously blank face. From there, a black rift formed and seemingly sucked in the light around it. Despite what was going on, you were none the wiser.
