Chapter 4 by Fantasy Fantasy

Well? What do you say?

Nothing. People start coming in.

“Ugh! Move it, loser! You’re blocking the way!”

“As always. Why don’t you just sit on a corner forever?”

A couple of girls yell behind you. Instead of saying anything, or even feeling insulted, you’re grateful to them that you can escape without fucking up something that turned out well enough.

You sit down, class starts and goes by slowly. Ms. Campbell asks for the book assignments, and you hand her yours. It was easy, since you actually have a lot of free time to read. She asks you what you thought of the book, and does so with an expectant look.

“I liked it. I got really immersed in it.” You tell her. “Kinda bummed about the ending though.”

“Yeah, I know.” She smiles wryly. “Read the sequel if you’re interested. It’s picks up from where this one left off.”

“There’s a sequel? I didn’t know.” You know what you’re reading next. “I’ll get it as soon as I can.”

“These are some of my favorite books. I’m glad you liked it.” She gives you a second honest smile, but it quickly fades as she sighs frustrated. Her eyes are a bit obscured by her long hair as her shoulders drop. “No one else seems to have enjoyed it.”

Yeah, it doesn’t seem like many people in this class care about literature. Most of them took it so they could escape the more science oriented ones.

The conversation stops there and Ms. Campbell seems to be in a good enough mood to even say goodbye with a warm smile. That’s dangerous. You’re **** enough that the smallest acts of kindness might make you develop of crush on someone. Hell, it might be happening right now. She looks even cuter now than she did at the start of the class.

What next?
