What happens at night?
Nothing, thankfully…
Throughout the rest of the day you **** yourself to be vigilant for either that man or someone else who might need your help. This sadly or thankfully leads to nothing happening which was not normal before. However, you did see that there are a lot more smoke trails coming from the town, and these trails were black. It’s almost like a huge number of cars are on fire along side buildings just based on the size.
These fires will draw people out and into safer places, such as the forests and outskirts which you bet are already compact with people as it is. These infected will more than likely follow these people and may even mingle within to cause panic. The resources of your hunting and foraging grounds will be hit soon and hit repeatedly. These thoughts make you want to go out and gather as much as you carry to help your stocks survive for a while longer. This comes with risk and could allow for people or bandits to turn your home into a base and steal all your supplies.
The amount of infected had also seemed to have decreased and they seem to almost migrate toward the outskirts. This is obvious migratory hunters who follow their food source, so this is good news for you because of these movements. It should even make it easy to defend and maybe do a patrol once or twice a day at most. You, however, know that this was not going to last but for now it is important to act while the woods are both empty and abandoned. Some of the raided camps may even hold valuables which the infected did not take.
So, do you go out; gather, loot and patrol, or do you wait?
