Gotta gather some food now...

After a moment of thought you decide that you have to go out and find some sort of food to refill your slightly diminished from your visitor and the few days that you have spent alone. After this you lock up and start setting basic sound traps and alarms around your house. This gives you a sense of security and allows you to wander a little bit away from the wall. As you head toward an area that you had blocked off years ago to protect it from other people. As you arrive you find that no one has touched the area around or in the fenced off area.

You go and unlock the gate and enter the enclosure to find that your berry, corn, and vegetable plants surviving, even thriving. This may be because of the fact that there was a lot of rain and it has been relatively cool for this time of year. During the summer around your home it tends to reach at least 90 degrees Fahrenheit (or 32 Celsius for you metric users). You go and grab a basket that you have sitting nearby and start to take about half of everything, except the corn.

As you head back you approach carefully and quietly to avoid drawing any possible attention from anyone or thing. As you enter your nearby new compound you find that nothing has happened except for a few dead branches that have fallen. You avoid your noise makers and traps, and once you enter your home you set out what you will eat in the next few days. Everything else goes into the cooler down stairs, it is one where you hand your meat. It is cooled by a home made river in a channel that you carved into it, the water comes from a nearby lake.
