Again, she nods, with no sign of anger or frustration, only forlorn acceptance.

"Your people are much happier under my reign, sending their women to be enslaved in the palaces of the Effrit and the Marids in exchange for never again having to worry about elemental incursion." You say digging your foot into Keyleth's back.

Again, she simply nods.

Vex cries into her gag, trying to offer some words of encouragement or comfort. Trying to protest against this narrative you are weaving for the two of them.

There are tears in her eyes, but Keyleth, doesn't meet her friend's gaze this time. She's too afraid to be punished for lifting her head.

"Oh, poor Vex'ahlia...how truly doomed you all must be, that you are now the voice of hope." You say, kicking Keyleth lightly on the shin and making her scramble out of the way as you stride closer to your prey. "Let's not forget, darling, you are the cynical one...you'd sell poor little Kiki down the river yourself, if it meant getting your husband back...if it meant getting your brother back."
