Not sure who, but the what is a forbidden type of magic: Mind Magic

Across the world of Earth Land, magic of every kind is seen and used by people and most don't blink at the variety before them and no magic except for dark magic is forbidden.

Well...

That's not completely true.

Centuries ago there was another magic that quickly became forbidden and every scroll of it was destroyed.

The magic was the magic of the mind.

Not so godlike as creating things from your mind.

No, it was the powers to control, alter, trick, and influence the mind of those you targeted.

The greater danger was that there was no true defense against it, even those on par with the Wizard Saints could fall victim to it and never realize.

Charm magic was a subcategory of this magic and while the main magic was destroyed, charm and some other lesser versions remained as they were deemed less threatening than the main one. Mainly, because charm magic and others could be overcome in a variety of ways.

However, no matter how thorough the mages and knights of the past were, they missed one scroll.

One single scroll that would created to bestow the magic on the one who used it, regardless of whatever magic they had or were skilled in.

That scroll has remained hidden and intact, waiting to be found by the one who will be it's user and unleash its might upon the world.
