Not as many as Lisa had hoped for.

As Lisa had expected at 7pm most of the town arrived at the hotel for the evening meal. Lisa took this opportunity to try to convince the towns folk in joining her in a fight against the Black Lynchers. During the meal Lisa learned that the majority of people planned to hide out in their homes and hope for the best. Harry Usher and a small minority planned to take up Silas Burns' offer of protection.

Once the evening meal was over and those not wanting to fight had left Lisa looked over the volunteers. There was Caitlin Wilde. Dan, Pete, and Davey from the Painted Lady. Alma and Virgil Morgan. Doc Monroe. "Old Bob" Thorn. Plus six others as well as Billy and Beth Connors. However Lisa was determined that the kids be kept away from the action.

The volunteers then set about preparing for the coming battle. A ladder was raised from the fourth floor landing to a hole in the roof. Lisa, Caitlin Wilde and the six volunteers that Lisa wasn't familiar with began preparing defensive positions on the roof. Doc Monroe, Alma Morgan and the Connors kids turned a fourth floor room into a treatment room for the wounded. Dan and the rest began sorting out how to deal with the Lynchers once they got inside.

Once the preparations had been completed the volunteers reviewed their plans one last time. They then worked out a guard rota for the roof and then everyone but those on guard settled into a restless sleep awaiting the coming battle.
