Chapter 11 by Master Haug Master Haug

What is the next target?

Not an animal

The warm sun shined through Damaskinos, his invisible frame no impediment to its light as the cold mountain wind pushed him downwards towards the grasslands that made up the valley floor. This valley was poor in nutrients and minerals, and located far from any lay lines which could supply the mana necessary for a magical ecosystem to thrive in this far north of the Borealis continent, a true wasteland as far as the Light Races were concerned, but that did not mean it was completely empty of the magical herbs he needed to practice potion making. It just meant they were hard to find.

He flew close to the ground, animals and the magical beasts without detection skills none the wiser, as he surveyed the grasslands making sure to mentally mark the location of the magical beasts he would need to hunt down later, even if he needed to keep the quantity of prey sourced from the lower valley where the ranchers would bring their cattle later within a limit. Training and killing things within the system gave EXP, and someone in a schedule with both class and evolution rank up meters to fill like him needed to source them wherever he could.

He finally landed near a patch of yellow flowers that matched the description, collecting the slightly shinning ones imbued with Solar Energy. The elemental infusion would prevent it from rotting, and he could stockpile them in the cave until he was ready to use them, and he took flight once more searching for other alchemical targets until the sun set behind the mountain and he made his way back home, where a new round of fire infusion awaited before going to sleep.

Some time with this new routine passed
