Not a chance

Tilly was exhausted by the time she made it home. She was way too out of shape for that much walking. She was torn between a shower aand collapsing on her bed, but as usual, her bed won. She threw herself down on top of the covers and closed her eyes.

She didn't fall asleep though. Just as she was about to her phone started playing music. It wasn't the radio or her own music playlists either. It was Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go. She tried to ignore it, but after it reached the end it restarted on a louder volume. The volume continued to rise until she finally got up and grabbed her phone. There was a notification from Taskmaster, 'Goal #3 Don't Be Lazy'.

She screamed and dismissed it, she was about to throw the phone against the wall but stopped. No matter what she did she just couldn't seem to toss it away. Her phone buzzed again, 'Daily Tasks. Goal #1 Lose Weight - Cook Healthy Dinner today. Goal #2 - Find a Job - Apply to 10 positions. Goal #3 Don't Be Lazy - Take a Shower, Comb and Dry your Hair, apply makeup. Failure to complete daily tasks will result in punishment.'

"Punishment? Fuck that. I need to go see Didi and get rid of this app." Tilly said aloud. Her phone buzzed again, 'Taskmaster cannot be canceled. See terms and conditions. Attempting to remove or cancel Taskmaster will result in punishment.'

So that is? She was trapped? Tilly groaned, she needed time to think. She might as well try to finish the daily tasks. She did set those goals on her own of course. She sat down at her computer and quickly fired her resume off to a dozens places. Then she took a quick shower, towel dried her hair, and put on some lipsticks. She never wore makeup but figured that would do. Then she made herself dinner. A frozen pizza. It was healthy, right? Thin crust, and there were veggies on it.

After it was done she sat down on the couch to watch tv. She took a bite of her pizza as she grabbed the remote. "Delicious." She said to herself. She clicked the remote but the tv wouldn't turn on. Oh no, not again. She checked her app.

Daily Quests Failed.

1. Goal #1 - Dinner did not meet specifications
2. Goal #2 - Applications were lazy, not role-orientated, and stand little chance of success
3. Goal #3 - Hair not dried properly. Makeup insufficient. You look sloppy.

Sloppy? Did she just get insulted by a machine?
