Not In the Slightest

Xialing ran full speed at Makkari, going for a jumping kick as she jumped with her leg extended. From Makkari's perspective, Xialing was basically frozen in place just as her foot was barely two inches away from connecting with Makkari's face. Makkari simply moved out of the way just slightly, causing Xialing's attack to miss. Due to how fast Makkari moved and how it was only a slight change in her position, it looked more like Xialing had bad aim rather than that Makkari was dodging.

Xialing landed on the ground with surprise on her face. She quickly turned around to face Makkari, who had an eyebrow raised. Makkari was greatly confused by Xialing. Wasn't she meant to be a top-tier fighter? Xialing gritted her teeth and tried roundhouse kicking Makkari, who once again moved out of the way. The audience began to jeer as they watched the fight.

"How is she missing someone who standing still?!"

"Aren't the strongest supposed to be up there?"

"Wake me up when the next fight is up!"

Makkari furrowed her brows at the crowd as she saw them giving her thumbs downs and boos. It's not her fault that her opponent was boring. Xialing was even more angry; first, her opponent disrespected her, and now she is being made a joke of in her own arena. Xialing then tries to punch Makkari, who watches the "slow" attack come toward her at what feels like a snail's pace. Both she and the audience were bored. Makkari was almost tempted to just leave, until a devious idea popped into her mind. It was up to Makkari to entertain the audience.

Just as Xialing's punch was out to make contact with Makkari's face, she vanished. Xialing looked around in front of her in confusion until she felt someone tap on her shoulder. Quickly turning around, Xialing saw Makkari standing right behind her, waving at her. Xialing tries to elbow Makkari in surprise, only for the dark-skinned woman to suddenly end up at the opposite end of the arena before the attack connected. Makkari was sitting on the ground with a book in one hand and an alcoholic drink in the other, causing some audience members to realize that their stuff was missing.

"What?! How did you get those!?" Xialing was perplexed as to how her opponent was disappearing and reappearing all over the arena. Though she did know one thing, her opponent was toying with her, and she hated it. Xialing's eye then widened as she watched Makkari finish the book she had in a second, flipping through its pages in nanoseconds before chugging the drink in less than a second.

It was at that moment that Xialing realized that her opponent had superspeed. The second that thought hit her mind, Makkari suddenly appeared all up in Xialing's face, causing her to flinch. Makkari then grabbed Xialing by the sides. "Let go of me!" Xialing uselessly commanded, which Makkari of course ignored as she preceded to carry Xialing with her as she ran around the arena. Both women became blurs, only being streaks of color, as Makkari circled around the arena. Slowly, Makkari made her circles smaller, getting closer and closer to the center of the arena. Once the center of the arena was reached, Makkari let go of Xialing and stopped running, leaving Xialing to spin like a top. Makkari leaned against the wall of the arena and watched as Xialing spined at speeds faster than sound. Makkari had a wide smirk on her face, her plan would surely entertain the audience.
