Which way, last Strongwolf?
North. Great risk, greater the reward
You have always wanted to see the Great Water, the sea, with your own eyes. The region is probably inhabited by a lot of people and poses a true new begining for you. The way there will be hard, of course, but for a great risk, greater is the reward.
During the next three days, you make your way through the forested mountainous area with dense vegetation, moderate hills, and cool temperatures. Due to the rugged terrain, with steep slopes and narrow paths, travel takes far more time than usual. You have not advanced more than 20 km or so after two entire days.
After the second day's sunset, the second night settles in, and you start working to prepare camp by building a small temporary shelter made of tree branches, placed around a tree, using it's trunk as the central axis, and then binding them together with vines. The shelter being ready, you go look for some extra timber.
It is then when you spot it. A mountain lion, hidden in the nearby bushes. For all you know it could have been there stalking at your for more than an hour, perhaps more. You immediately rise your hands, trying to seem larger, but it doesn't seem to work this time, as the predator begins to charge towards you.
How do you react?
