Normalized Nudity

In a world similar to our world, almost everything occurred identically, except for one major change: when clothing was created, nudity did not become shameful. Nudity was seen as the natural human condition. While clothing was used as necessary, nudity was the default way that people would go about their normal life. For instance, all beaches would be “nude beaches”, with a large majority of the visitors going nude.

Workplaces also did not see nudity as particularly offensive. The normal work clothes still applied at offices, but Casual Fridays would allow for working in the nude. Students who were eighteen and over also could attend school in the nude, with some private schools even incorporating nudity into their school uniforms. People who were underage would wear clothes as the governments believed it was more unsafe for them due to rough-housing and illnesses that could be contracted while playing outside.

Nudity was not always a sexual thing. In fact, considering the fact that people often saw each other naked, nudity became less of a sexual thing than it is in our world. Erotic clothing became the symbol of sexuality, instead of nudity. That’s not to say that no one thought sexually about naked people. Teenagers would often find themselves extremely horny due to hormones combined with the exposed flesh all around them. Eventually, the novelty of the concept would wear off and they would seek a greater sexual thrill. It could be said that these changes led to more **** kinks among the population as well.

The Normalized Nudity Society, or NNS, did deal with problems, however. Some people felt uncomfortable being nude due to body image issues. While they could wear clothes, they would often feel ostracized by their friends and coworkers who were nude. These people often went to therapy or had cosmetic surgery to deal with these issues.

The commonality of nudity also caused some changes in the NNS when compared to our society. Many places offered foot bathes at the door to wash a person’s feet before entering the building. The sidewalks were also made to be softer and cleaner to accommodate bare feet walking on them.

Outdoor showers also became more popular. People could save time going home to shower and save money on the water bill by showering in public designated areas. These were seen as places to talk and gossip with friends or even strangers, which brought the community closer together. Overall, the NNS became more connected through nudity. People could see the flaws in each other’s bodies, which helped them to be more confident in their own bodies and flaws.

Public sex was still not approved of in the NNS. Sexual education was better due to the constant nakedness, but the actual act of sex was still partially taboo for the people. Cases of public sex were much more abundant, though, because of how easy it was to do the deed. The issue of public sex had been a hot topic in the governments of the NNS for years, but no legislation had ever been passed. At least for now, it seemed that the people were satisfied with just public nudity.

A/N: Well, that’s the first of (hopefully) many world concepts that I want to write about. This one was less erotic that future ones that I’ve come up with, which I apologize for, but I wanted to think about how nudity could easily be slotted into modern society.
