No Special for Me

That special sounded like a trap, and this girl looked like someone that would actually try to get you in trouble for fun, so that was a no for you. You asked for the cheapest meal, that was also the most asked platter: Meat and Veggies Broth.

The waitress smiles at you, and she seems relieved somehow, so she wrote on her notepad with your drinks too.

"The soup? Alright! It's coming soon!"

She leaves your table and goes to grab your food. Swaying her hips in a way that draws more than a few customers looks.

The catgirl, on the other hand, looks grumpy and annoyed.

"Nyeh... You're no fun nya..."

But her face quickly goes back to her smirk, which always features the tip of her fangs to protrude out of her mouth.

"By the way, nya said nya are new here right? Hm... In this case you'll need to knyow how things work around nya..."

The Waitress arrives with two platters: one containing a bowl covered in an metal lid and the other contains your drinks

"Sorry for the wait~ Enjoy it while it is warm!"

She then grabs the soup bowl lid and leaves you two.

It looks simple in all honesty. But the looks are certainly deceiving. The smell is mouthwatering.

A brown meaty broth bubbles with heat in the bowl, cooked vegetables and meats floating slowly in the thick broth as they sizzle with fatty juices. You see quite the variety of vegetables bobbing about in the broth. Carrots, beans, corn, parsley.

The meat is nothing to scoff at either. Cut into small even cubes that soak up the juices, plumping up and promising a burst of flavor as you chew into it. You can imagine Rea’s mouth watering at the sight.

While you eat, Rea resumes on her chatter... What was she talking about anyway? Oh right... knowing how things work...

"Nya! Thank nya Ellie~... ... ... By the way, I don't mind taking nya for a stroll around the city! The place is pretty biggy and nya can get losty!"

Seems like you gained a guide, and you don't have a saying in the matter.

Before you know it, the bowl is empty. Its delicious contents settle in your stomach as you feel the warm weight of a good meal. Your muscles relax and a smile settles on your face as you feel content. Complete. As though you’d found the one thing you were missing your entire life.

As soon as you are done, or better, as soon as Rea decides that you are, she grabs you by the wrists and brings you around. You can't complain since she is paying for your meal, afterall you didn't have any money with you.

She pays for your food and Ellie the waitress smiles and waves at you two

"Thank you and come back again!"

Rea smiles and waves back, before bringing you back to the middle of the street.

She looks right, she looks left, she looks up and she looks down.

"Right! Let's go there first! Follow meow!"

As she shows the city around you, telling all kinds of weird stories about all the places, you start losing that fear of being in a different place, and in the end, that city does look nice!

Its a very calming place to be despite the large amount of people around. Though that might be because Rea’s that good at keeping your attention on her and what she points at.

Your first stop is a large plaza, like a large square area for public addresses, but there's a large fountain in the middle, spraying water… and bubbles?... bubbles shaped like butts? Into the air.

There are a few other couples near it, some lounging and enjoying the sun, others chatting and wandering the streets. A pretty romantic and calming place it seems.

The next stop was the guards area. While mostly off limits, you got to see some of the facilities on a tour of sorts. Only five minutes at most, but the letch certainly had a lax attitude to its training. Well, the ones you saw anyway.

The most interesting sight was the large castle that rose into view. The queen's castle was open to stroll and wander in for the most part. Well apparently anyway. The two of you didn’t enter inside, instead marveling at the large walls, drawbridges and guards sitting and watching from the walls.

Lastly you arrive at one of the small plazas scattered around, this one had a new fountain statue that was being installed, but Rea seemed to spot something weird around there, and lowered her ears

"Waity waity nya! Let's uh not go there nya! Why don't we just go and see my house? You probably nyeed a place to rest anyaway! So why don't we go there? It's really closey!"
