Holding her breath and laying completely still, Druuna heard how the two men ran past a few feet above her head, neither of them stopping.

It seemed as though the bush that she had fallen through had shielded her from being spotted

Remaining still until the men was well in front of her, Druuna then crawled out of the gully and stood still for a brief moment, brushing sand and mud of her body.

She thought about her options; it was a risk to head back to the beach to collect her clothes, she didn?t know if there was someone else by the boat or if the two men would soon realise that they had lost her and head back towards it.

But on the other hand, she was now completely naked and had lost all her gear.

And if she risked being attacked by diverse predators under ordinary circumstances, especially human predators would be more liable to do so if she was to take to running around completely naked.

Sure, she could always hope to run into a trader or similar, and get hold of new clothes, but that would cost her. And right now she only had one thing to trade with.
