Go on naked

To hell with her clothes, Druuna wasn?t about to risk running into to those two thugs again!

Instead, she decided to head further inland, quickly making her way through the brush and getting out on the other side, back out on the dirt plain.

Keeping a high speed to get as far away from the beach as quickly as possible, Druuna didn?t really care for where she was headed at the moment, content with being out of harm?s way for the time being. She came to a river and decided to follow it upstream, feeling rather silly and glad over running around naked.

But as the sky grew darker as night drew closer, Druuna realized that she?d have a rough night outdoors in the nude, without either a blanket or anything with which she could get a fire started.

And besides, she was starting to grow hungry.

The situation seemed bleak indeed, but then suddenly she saw something as she came up over the top of a hill along the river: down below, a few hundred yards from where she stood, laid a group of sturdy houses, surrounded by an adobe wall, which sealed off all the three overland routes to the houses. A small wharf was built from the shore out into the river, and two boats were currently docked alongside it.

Druuna was not certain about the wisdom of walking down to the houses.

Sure, the men and women living there could be peaceful settlers or traders, but they could just as well be a gang of pirates.

And to walk stark-naked straight into a gang of bloodthirsty villains didn?t seem to appealing to Druuna.

On the other hand, it was rapidly growing darker, and she?d have a hard time finding another settlement before it was night.
