Chapter 5
by Ator
Does she die of snake bite?
No
By the time the other girls got there, Toni was pressed into a corner, as hard as she could. If there had been a crack in the wall, she would have oozed through it. Except her face, as her jaw was wide open, still screaming.
The boys came crashing through the woods separating the sets of cabins just as the other girls were getting ready to enter. Alan was the first one inside, and grabbed her pulling her to her feet. "What is it!? What's wrong?! " he yelled, looking her over for any wounds or blood.
She whimpered, tears running down her cheeks, ruining the little make-up she had on. With a trembling finger, she pointed back to the far corner. Alan looked over and saw the black snake, desperately trying to climb to a window to escape.
Alan laughed. "It's ok. It's not poisonous."
"I DON'T CARE!" Toni half wailed, half crying. "Just kill it!"
Chris entered the cabin, so Alan passed Toni over to him. "Get her outside."
Chris took the gorgeous, hysterical blond in his arms and hugged her gently. Other than the snot bubble she was trying to produce, she was more attractive up close. He led her outside and to the opposite side of the road. Grinning to himself, he thought, Maybe the armor wasn't as thick as I thought, hugging her trembling body close to his. She curled up into his chest, peeking towards the cabin.
Inside, Alan smiled. He was a little surprised at Toni's display, but didn't blame her. The thing was every inch of 3 feet long. And when it saw him coming, it could move. With a little guidance from his feet, he got the snake back into a corner. The serpent, sensing it was trapped, coiled up tightly. He could hear it hissing, showing the pink of the inside of its mouth.
Alan prepped himself. Leaning down, he waved a hand into its strike zone. The snake lashed out a little, but quickly coiled up again. It's tongue ficked nervously. On the third try, it aggressively lunged at the warm object passing in front of it. Alan was ready, and brought down his heavy cowboy boot...
Outside, the other guys were talking to the girls about what happened. Chris held the Toni girl tightly against him, gently rubbing her back. He could feel her relaxing by degrees. The more she calmed, the more his hand circled on her back, dipping lower with each pass. He hadn't reached her ass yet, but there wasn't a need to rush. Plenty of time to build some trust. She sniffed and sighed, sinking into his his arms as she relaxed. "It's ok," he said, softly. "Alan has it."
She sighed again, burying her face in his chest. I really hope she's not getting snot on this shirt, he thought. When her arms suddenly wrapped around him in a strong hug, he wondered how successful his back rub had been. Looking down, expecting her upturned face begging him to allow a kiss in gratitude, he was disappointed. Her gaze was back at the cabin door, and Alan's emerging form. She had tensed up in fear again.
The reptile was in his hand. To be more specific, it was coiled and writhing around his arm, its head pinched on its neck by Alan's fingers. "It's just a black snake. No big deal. It's harmless."
"Fuck you!" yelled Toni. "Just get it away!"
Alan held his arm out for the others to see it. The guys looked at it briefly. Steve snapped a few pictures of the beast. Bobby hung back a bit, fine with looking at it with some distance. The girls passed up on it, but Alan noticed Ahiri staring at it intently. Like she wanted to come closer, but wouldn't.
Not wanting to stress the animal further, Alan walked behind the cabin, to the treeline. Unwrapping the snake from his arm, he held it out about a foot above the tall grass. With one motion, he released both ends, letting it plop down with a modest "thud." The snake paused, then with surprising speed, shot into the undergrowth.
Does Toni recover? Who does she thank?
