Can a pulse help you?
No interruptions - No pulses
An hour passes slower than you would have hoped. Finally, you spot Emily shuffling away from the store entrance as one of her co-workers starts closing the shutters. With an awkward jump and shout you call attention to yourself so that she notices you. She is surprised but approaches you.
"John! Didn't expect you here! Weird day, right?"
"You could say it. I just wanted to see you." You try to sound normal but your voice betrays you. Your mind keeps showing you how you could overpower her, how you could force yourself on her, how she would struggle and beg for mercy. No, her being your friend doesn't help at all. Will it be like that with all females... always?
"You sound weird. And your face... It is so red. Are you OK?" Emily asks visibly concerned by now.
"I am fine. Just tired. I'll probably go home now?"
"Are you sure you are fine? I am somewhat busy today but I can change plans if..."
"No. No need. I'll be fine. Really!" you cut her in a rough tone. Having her around will only make matters worse.
"If you say so. Catch you tomorrow?"
You take a few steps back, fighting your thoughts, then say goodbye to her as she slowly works towards the mall entrance throwing concerned glances at you . You catch a glimpse of her as she approaches a man you don't know. She tries to kiss him, only to receive a slap hard enough to make her fall to the floor! You immediately forget about all your intrusive thoughts and rush outside to protect your friend.
