No choice but to follow

The ground gets very uneven as you walk, the ground rising and falling sharply, and several thick tree roots bump into the tips of your feet risking causing you to stumble and trip as you stroll through the thick forest. The deeper into the woods you go, the trees become far more narrow and you have to squeeze yourself between two trees to make progress through the forest. As if this wasn't enough, each step you take has a brief flash of glowing dots appear around you... They appear so quickly and disappear just as quick, they have to be just visions in your head or something like that but there was still something oddly real and unnerving about them. So unnerving you start to speed up your woodland walk. you trip and stumble even more with your increased speed, and find yourself squeezing through tighter and tighter trees! What's worse is theses strange flashes of eye like lights become more frequent and now you cant shake the feeling of being watched...
