The knight pays Garris no attention as a posse of men ride in on armored horses. The men wear little clothing, but most at least have the decency to cover their crotch and chest with thin gold and tin plates. The men all wear white masks that are adjourned by a metal, disk like helmet that ends in a spike at the top. The knight remarks to them, “take this man, and clean him up.” The knight’s underlings pounce on Garris, and in his weakened state, he has no choice but to relent as they throw a bag over his head. “Now take him to Escaba.” The knight orders.
