Chapter 22 by SpiralFelix SpiralFelix

Is Candace finally able to get dressed with the clothes in her bag?

No, her bag is completely empty

Candace stared down in utter and complete shock at the bag she'd just unzipped. Her bag. With all her clothes that she'd packed to wear over winter break. Except they weren't in there. In fact, nothing was in the bag. Nothing but a jagged and gaping hole in one end. Somewhere between checking her bag in Boston and receiving it here in Des Moines, every single thing had fallen out of Candace's bag. Or, nearly everything. She still had a few small essential items packed into the bag's zippered pockets. But there wasn't a single piece of clothing left that Candace had packed.

She stood back up, still completely nude, and wondered just what in the hell she was supposed to do. She felt like she was trapped in a nightmare. Even as she noticed the half dozen remaining people pointing at her and saying something, she felt too dazed and numb to even cover herself. She simply picked up her empty travel bag and her nearly forgotten backpack, slinging the latter over her shoulders. Then, holding the green travel bag somewhat in front of her bare body, she began shuffling forward. Candace wasn't quite sure where she was going though.

As the empty baggage carousel finally ground to a halt, Candace spared a moment's thought for her puffy winter coat. Apparently, it hadn't made it onto the plane's check items like the employee assured Candace it would. Just her luck. Now, from her bare feet to her empty bags, to her bare shoulders, Candace truly did not have a single scrap of clothing left. She needed help from someone, but wasn't sure if she could even bring herself to ask for it.

A few moments later, she spotted the nearby help desk for the airline. With literally no other plan in mind, Candace shuffled over to it.

"Um, e-excuse me?" the naked girl asked the employee behind the counter. She wasn't even sure what to say, so she simply showed the employee the enormous hole in her bag. "My bag, it... Everything fell out..."

The employee simply pointed to a nearby sign that read 'AIRLINE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS'

What does Candace do next?
