Nisha releases him

"You are free to go," Nisha said unlocking Rich's handcuffs, "I might be a bitch, but if you don't keep your word what do you have?"

Rich nursed his burn, "Shit..."

Nisha pulled out aloe and put it on his wound, "Don't be such a baby. Scars are cool."

Rich stood up and began walking towards the exit.

"One moment," Nisha said, "If you care for your lady you won't keep her here past the closing ceremony."

"Why?" Rich asked.

"You won't believe me," she said, "But the Faire is cursed. Every year the Faire sends invites to unsuspecting individuals. Those who don't come in costume are more affected. The shops use magic to make people more... Invested in the Faire until they join it."

"That's a lot to believe."

"Don't believe me. Just make sure you and your girlfriend are out of the Faire before the closing ceremony. She's lucky to have you."

"I'll keep it in mind."

Then Rich left.
