Nika, The Goblinoid RA

“Huh, so they aren’t dead after all..” Nika sits before you, a large tome laid out before her as her yellow eyes skim the page.

“What…?”

“The head, everyone thought they were dead, turns out we were wrong” she says, not taking her eyes off the tome.

“Why would they be dead…..?” Your eyes narrow, curious and dreading her answer.

“The last time the Nephilim attacked they slaughtered half the student body and nearly every faculty member in the academy, we thought the head died too but apparently we were all wrong..” despite how grim the events she relays are, she doesn’t display any emotion in her voice.

“Wh… what…? How did I know hear about this? They kill half the student body and nobody says anything about it?” You say both shocked and perplexed.

“Simple, the surviving victims were sworn into secrecy by the remaining staff..” she pulls aside the collar of her robe to expose a spot on her shoulder, at first it looks like a branding, but upon closer examination examination you see the telltale signs of runes, etched into her mint green skin.

“Once we leave the academy we will simply forget the event ever happened, all we’ll be left with are happy memories” she doesn’t seem entirely upset by the idea.

“And the families of the deceased? What happened to them…?” You’re almost afraid to ask, an academy that’s willing to mind wipe their alumni surely would take drastic action to keep their skeletons in the closet.

In response, all Nika does is lift her eyes from the page, giving you a silent look before going back to her reading.

“They were made to forget too…”

You’re shocked, revolted, **** to forget your dead son or daughter, to simply hide a secret….

“That… that doesn’t bother you..?”

She simply shrugs her shoulders before stating “Not my kids”

You both lapse into a bout of silence, until you hear her voice again addressing you.

“I have a project that requires the use of a test subject, interested?” Her eyes are locked firmly on you now, her hands placed on the table.

“Maybe, what’s the project?” She seems cold, uncaring but you get the feeling she takes her role as RA too seriously to risk killing one of her charges.

And having an in with the RA and more importantly an UPPERCLASSMAN could only help your cause.

“A body morphing spell, technically I need to change any physical characteristic about you but if I were to fully change your form I’d get commendations”

As if noting your apprehension she qualifies her statement with “If it makes you feel any better I’ll need to ensure all your bodily functions are in proper working order for me to get any grade at all..”

Strangely enough, it does make you feel slightly better that she needs you healthy for this to work.

After a long moment of contemplation you nod your head in agreement. “Alright… but I do expect some kind of compensation for all this”

She merely shrugs saying “I’ll make arrangements then, when we’re done here, meeting me in my room, I’m sure you know your way there by now”

The floating head eventually disappears and you find yourself alone as your companion hops down from the bench, funnily enough you notice that she was sitting on a stack of thick tomes like a booster seat before she scuttles out of the dining hall.

As simple as this seems, you get the feeling that she’s hiding something, but the only way to be sure is to meet her in her room.
