Night continues

The dinner conversation continued to flow effortlessly as the waiters brought out the main courses, each dish more delicious than the last. Maddie and your mom exchanged stories about their own career journeys and offered advice and encouragement to you. It was clear that both of them were invested in your success, and you felt a warmth in your heart that you hadn't experienced in a long time.

As the evening wound down, you and Maddie bid farewell to your mom and left the restaurant. The cool night air felt refreshing on your face after being cooped up inside for hours. Maddie turned to you and said, "I had a really great time tonight. Your mom is amazing, and I can see why you're so close to her."

You smiled back at her, feeling grateful for the chance encounter that brought her into your life. "I know, she's pretty incredible. And I'm so glad that you're here to share in all of this with me."

Maddie nodded, slipping her hand into yours. "So, what do you want to do now? It's still early, and I don't want the night to end just yet."

You thought for a moment before suggesting, "How about we go back to my place and watch a movie or something? I have a ton of snacks and drinks that we can indulge in."

Maddie grinned, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "That sounds perfect. Lead the way, Ashley."

You took her hand and got into your car, the bright lights of the city casting a warm glow around you. As you drive through the city you cannot help but steal glances at her. When you arrived at your parent's house, Maddie let out a low whistle of admiration. "Wow, you live in a really nice place."

You laughed, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Yeah, it's not too shabby. My parents have done really well for themselves and I love it hear but truth is that I am hoping to move out soon."

Maddie nodded, making her way over to the couch and plopping down on it. "Well, it's still a great place. And I'm loving this view."

You joined her on the couch, feeling a sense of contentment settle over you. It was so easy to be around Maddie, and you found yourself opening up to her in a way that you hadn't with anyone else in your entire life. As the movie played on the screen, you and Maddie munched on popcorn and sipped on soda, occasionally commenting on the plot twists and turns.

When the movie ended, Maddie turned to you and said, "You know, Ashley, I feel like we've really bonded tonight. I'm so glad that we met."
