The woman who comes in next is not trying nearly as hard as the redhead, but she’s just as seductive. Her hair is short and dark, and she wears a tight, short, red dress.

“Hi,” she says with the effortless confidence of someone who knows what the fuck they are doing. “I need to just grab something.”

You freeze up.

So is this who Annette was expecting? Or that redhead who was all boobs and no brains?

It has to be this woman, right? This woman seems way more like someone that Annette would associate with. But if you’re right, then you already let the wrong person in. Or at least you didn’t react quickly enough to stop the wrong person. Either way, you screwed up.

“Go right in,” you say, smiling at her.

“Thanks,” she says and moves past you with that same sashay as the redhead did. You unconsciously find yourself turning to watch her walk away, watching her swaying hips. What a sexy lady.

Hopefully, this doesn’t blow back on you. You try to get back to your email. A few minutes later, the woman in the red dress leaves. You breathe a sigh of relief. Nobody’s yelled at you yet, at least.

And nobody does. The rest of the day goes quietly. You don’t even get too many annoying phone calls from idiots who don’t realize that you work for Annette, not for FUTA.
