Chapter 7

What's next?
Next day
{if Hungover=True} Oof. Your stomach is sour, this morning. Blech. Drinking water doesn't make it go away, either... it seems to last all morning, but on the other hand it's eventually got better before you noticed.{endif}
Actual, minor emergencies arose at work. But since you're so often on top of your entire workload, you're able to start the resolutions immediately. --Well. Emergencies demand that anyway, but you are as poised as can be. By lunch, it's all fixed and there are low cheers from the peasants. You feel accomplished. But tired. {if Total Wine>5}You could really go for a glass of wine, for both of those reasons.{endif}
Nothing else happens. You don't feel like leaving early, since there's nothing else needing doing. You go to the grocery store to pick something to cook for dinner. You want to remind yourself you're (still) home capable, despite seeming like a total career woman. Everything for a nice, simple stew. Wholesome and nostalgic. You feed Pop-tart immediately when you get home, and he rewards you by watching your entire cooking venture, with judging eyes. Why??
It comes out just fine, you're glad to discover. Granted, it's a bit tough to get wrong.. it's no patisserie recipe. But it DOES take a while to simmer. By the time it's done, you try to find tupperware to save the excess, but you always throw everything out... frick.
Well, there's still free time left in the day, what do you do?

The dangers of mild success
How getting your groove back is wildly overrated
A short, mildly ridiculous story for me to get acquainted with CHYOA. It primarily involves Intoxication Fetish. If you don't share this appreciation -- and, statistically you don't -- this will seem kind of strange to you. I am figuring everything out on the fly, not interested in imitating other stories around here for reference and my goal is fun. I'll take constructive criticism, though I can't imagine who would have advice for what I'm trying to do, here.
