New Year New Me

“God what a day” Nora sighed as she entered her apartment and dropped her bag and papers on the floor.

“Hey girl hey” Nora’s roommate and childhood best friend Kim walked, wearing nothing but a bikini and sunglasses

“Oh jeez can you put some clothes on? Why are you sunbathing anyways it’s January!” Nora chastised her exposed friend

“When you look this good you want everyone to know it! Why don’t you join me, you got yourself a nice body too under those ratty clothes!” Kim replied as she wandered around the apartment.

“Uh no thanks, no one needs to know what I got under here. And what’s wrong with my clothes?” Nora was never the type to dress overtly “feminine” preferring instead loose baggy clothes and big jackets.

Nora was the shy type, never having time for boyfriends. She was very cute in the face and knew she had a decent body despite never ever choosing to show it off. The most she would do would be shorts during the summer that showed off her legs but would eventually lead to compliments that would make her blush.

“So are you gonna go out with me tonight? It’s the first day of an all new year we gotta go live it up!” Kim called out for Nora and she got dressed for a night out with friends, putting on a short and very revealing night club dress.

“I’m gonna have to decline, I got an early morning tomorrow.” Nora was always working and never had time to have fun with her friend. Not that she ever would be willing to go out and have drunken men hit on her and tell her she’s cute. Nora hated that.

“You need to start living life girl, new year new you” Kim gave her friend some wisdom before heading out the door.

“Maybe someday” Nora said out loud to herself as she went to take a shower.

That night Nora dreamt she was running late for work. As she ran and stumbled in the door she made it just in time before she’d have to hear her boss Kristen yell at her in front of everyone. Instead when Nora stepped through the door she was met by laughter and hollering. Nora looked at all their faces confused, before looking down at herself and realizing she had come to work completely naked!

At that moment Nora woke up in a cold sweat. Her heart beating out of her chest, it was just a nightmare but it felt so real.

“That’s the last time I sleep naked.” Nora said to herself. Last night she had been so tired after her shower she didn’t even bother putting on clothes. After all, Kim would be out all night.

As Nora got up and went towards the kitchen for her morning coffee. She was stunned to see her handsome neighbor Chris standing in her kitchen!

“Good morning neig-oh!” Chris turned towards Nora before covering his eyes with his hand at the sight of his fully nude neighbor.

Nora covered with her hands before freezing completely still.

“Chris! What the hell are you doing here?!” Nora screamed and felt her heart race. This was just like her dream!

“Oh Nora I’m so sorry! Kim asked me to come by, she said you guys had a problem with your sink she wanted me to check out!” Chris turned around and still kept his eyes shut.

“Did someone call me, woah ok!” Kim walked into the kitchen and stopped dead in her tracks and the sight of her naked and embarrassed roommate.

“Kim, what the hell! I’m naked! Get him outta here!” Nora still stood completely still covering herself with nothing but her hands.

“You know Nora when I said mix it up this year I didn’t mean turn into a nudist but you are rocking that outfit girl!” Kim congratulated her naked friend as she grabbed Chris by the shoulders and got him out of the apartment.

Nora’s eyes darted across the room as she caught sight of herself in the mirror. Now that he was gone she began to relax somewhat.

“That’s the last time anyone sees me like this.” She said to herself as she wiped her brow and ran back towards her room to get ready for work.
