New Year Cover Shot

Debbi's office was a hive of cramped activity. There was professional lighting set up to get the very best shots. The official company photographer was ready with his two assistants. Jeff was already there in costume as Old Father Time, his Santa beard doing double duty over the holiday period. Diane was there directing things and Carol was in attendance for moral support.

All they were waiting for was for Debbi to get into 'costume'. They had just finished quelling the usual objections from Debbi with the usual mixture of veiled threats and persuasion. It would be great publicity for the company, wonderful for team morale, the directors would be so disappointed if it didn't go ahead and so on. "Can't I at least wear a bikini ?" Debbi suggested. "Whoever heard of a baby wearing a bikini ?" Diane countered and Jeff and the photographer agreed.

So what was Debbi's costume ? Nothing. Nothing at all. Just her birthday suit as the new year baby representing the birth of 2024. There was supposed to be a sash emblazoned with '2024' but Diane had 'mislaid' that. "Don't worry, nothing untoward will show in the finished photo" the photographer explained. "Maybe not" Debbi replied skeptically, remembering the blow up from Santa's grotto still on display in reception. "But you're all here now and are going to see" she pointed out. The assembled company shrugged. "We're all professionals doing a job Debbi" Jeff informed her, as if her objections were mildly insulting to the integrity of those present !

"OK, so where do I change ?" Debbi reluctantly surrendered. "Right here, we've wasted enough time as it is " Diane answered. "Oh great, so now I do a strip tease for you all ?" said Debbi in exasperation. "No need for any tease, just take your clothes off" Diane laughed. "I'll look after them for you Deb" Carol assured her.
