New Uniform

In her office by the swim team pool, Coach Mann looked over the results from the latest swim meet and sighed. Her girls got second place, for the third meet in a row. For most other schools, this would be good news, but not for Rocky Mountain University. For the past seven years, Coach Mann had taken the RMU girls swim team to win the national championship, without so much as a hiccup in their records. But for some reason, the girls have just not been able to come out on top this season. CMU isn't even the leading team in the division anymore! That spot had been claimed by their bitter rivals at Las Vegas University (LVU for short), whose swimmers had beaten the times of CMU by fractions of a second. At first Coach Mann thought her girls were slacking, but after comparing their times to previous years, she realized that the CMU girls weren't getting slower; the LVU girls were getting faster. How they were accomplishing this, in the span of just one season, was the real mystery. Whatever it was, Coach Mann was determined to get to the bottom of it.

After hours of watching film, practice, and technique of the swimmers from LVU, Coach Mann eventually realized why the LVU girls were able to narrowly beat her own girls. This year, Las Vegas University made the controversial decision to replace the typical one-piece swimsuit with a much more revealing tight bikini. Many speculated, Coach Mann included, that this was the work of a perverted old man as the swim coach. However, Coach Mann suspected that this reduction of uniform wasn't (only) to ogle the bodies of the girls on the team, but actually served a functional purpose.

Simply put, the less uniform, the less constriction which in turn results in faster swimmers. Coach Mann had her "eureka" moment, but remembered that simply knowing why LVU was winning the division was only half the battle. She had to devise a plan using her newfound knowledge to start winning

She pondered over this discovery. If less uniform makes faster times, then her best bet would be to reduce the size of the CMU team uniform. Coach Mann was glad that she didn't have to propose this to the school board or anything of that nature. Ever since CMU took the national championship for the third year in a row, the university rewarded Coach Mann with full reigns of the team, allowing her to make any decision she felt necessary that was within budget. Which means she has full choice of the uniform, which itself had no regulations or guidelines in this league.

After an hour or so of weighing the options, Coach Mann felt that she had three possibilities:

1) Switch the team uniform to a tight bikini, similar to that of LVU

2) Switch the team uniform to something even smaller (and thus more revealing)

3) Go all out and remove the uniform entirely, making the birthday suit the new uniform (the girls swim naked)

For obvious reasons, the first two seemed the most logical to Coach Mann Swimming naked in collegiate swim meets is completely unheard of! However, the idea gradually started making sense as well. Perhaps only matching the size of the rival's uniform would result in the rival reducing the uniform yet again. If this process kept repeating they might as well end up naked. So maybe going nude from the beginning would save some trouble. Still, if she chose this option it could quite possibly cost her her job if results don't improve, not to mention the intense amount of controversy this would generate not only within the school, but the league as well.

Coach Mann knew she had to make a decision, so in the end she decided...
