New Family Member

Aki had tears of frustration in her eyes as she began to push. Her belly wasn't big enough to be carrying a foal.. and she had suspected as much when the fluttery kicking had started, reminding her of when she'd been carrying baby Lu. This child was another female.. making the delivery slow and arduous just like the first time.

She could hardly contain her outbursts of discomfort, gripping onto Ibris' hand in desperation. Her body shook and trembled with each push, her vocal displeaure meeting the senstive animal ears of every person on their island.

Before long, after another hour of pushing, Ibris pulled the baby girl up from the water onto Aki's breasts, rubbing her gently with a damp cloth. They left the umbilical cord attached for a while longer per Aki's request.

The newborns cries alerted every mate of the joyous occasion. A second female birth blessed their family. It was frankly unheard of for a female to produce two female children in her lifetime in this world... but luckily for her mates, Aki was not from this world..
