New Author's note: Story Continuation

Hey folks!

You ever heard of Hofstader's Law? Yeah, that's more applicable than ever to my update to this story.

I first read this story back in early 2023, when Nortoruis was creating his branch. His updates let the story get in the recently updated section and I clicked on it from there. You can probably figure out the rest :)

This is one of the CHYOA stories that I've noticed has an extremely dedicated (albeit small) fanbase. I myself am a very big fan of this story. Very sad that TheNextGamer disappeared off the platform just when the plot was starting to escalate.

So, my mind naturally thought of ways the story could continue, and that inspired me to ask TheNextGamer for permission to continue the story. It took him like 5 months or something to respond, but he gave me his blessing!

To put it bluntly why it took so long, writing is HARD. Especially this story, where the plot matters infinitely more than the smut. I have to write in consideration for future chapters, taking into account all the foreshadowing TheNextGamer put into his chapters. Moreover, I've never actually written erotica before, and the last time I actually wrote fiction was in grade school. I hope my language skills have improved since then? :)

Jokes aside. A few people have complained about the MC being a way over the top character who overreacts to everything. I'll try to tone that down a bit, but it will remain in the story for a bit. One of my goals with this continuation is that I don't want readers to feel that there's been an abrupt change of author. So the current characterization for all the characters will remain the same, at least in the year 2025 (in the story). The characters may or may not feel different during flashbacks. I have plans to address that, you'll just have to wait and see. >:)

I've also changed the year the MC wakes up from 2025 to 2026, due to the fact that I'm having trouble fitting all of what happens during the amnesia period in six years. The chapters should hopefully be edited, let me know if I missed anything.

I also gave the MC a longer dick because well... I can't let the literal God of Earth have a dick smaller than mine ;) Once again, please let me know if I missed any edits.

Chapter 26 shaped up to be longer than any of the chapters currently in the story. There were a lot of plot threads I wanted to get established on the first chapter I wrote. Because of this, the chapter will feel like it's all over the place, switching between POVs and time periods left right and center. A lot of things were crammed into that chapter, but I didn't shorten what I wanted to write in the slightest. Hopefully all the other chapters aren't going to turn into 10000 word beasts like this one.

I highly recommend you reread the story from the beginning, as it's been a good five years since this story has been updated. Also, check out Nortoruis's story if you haven't already.

Just so you know, I won't be writing with the help of any generative AIs. I've honestly just refused to use it from the beginning, and I can count on one hand the number of times I've used ChatGPT or other LLMs. They just takes the life out of any story they create, in my opinion. There are a couple amazing erotica stories I've stumbled upon that were written by AI/with the help of AI, but that usually isn't the norm. Moreover, it's just not my style.

Because I'm not writing with AI, chapters will take a long time to make. I'm not an experienced writer as I've already said, and even writing one chapter took me 2 years of on and off writing, struggling to put the hundreds of ideas I have for this story into something readable. Hopefully I keep the motivation to put out chapters after the first one is made public. I will be releasing chapters as soon as they are finished, instead of writing ahead. For this reason, don't expect a regular posting schedule.

So, please let me know if I do well! Or if I don't, please tell me that also, because I need to know how to improve my writing skills. Please provide your honest feedback once you read. It would mean the world to me, even if the feedback isn't positive. :)
