Chapter 3 by fraf fraf

She chose...

Neutral Leader, new Hawk people faction in Stranglethorn Vale

Asha had already decided on this before she even started designing her new body. She wanted to be her own boss and she wanted to make a splash. And what better way to do that than bring with her a completely new race and faction into this world? So, she skipped over all the canon races and went straight to the non-canon section. There she found a race of hawk people. They looked like regular humans, except for the large hawk wings sprouting from their backs.

"Perfect!" thought Asha. "Pretty normal, but still exotic. And they all can fly. This has to be huge, even in a world like this."

Finally, a large map appeared in front of her and she was prompted to pick her starting location.

"Wait, I can choose any place? Okay, so...two big continents on the sides, a few smaller one in between and a lot of islands. Erm...fuck it."

She closed her eyes, spun around, then pressed on a random spot on the map. When she opened them, it turned out she selected a place at the very bottom of the eastern continent, and the name "Stranglethorn Vale" popped up in front of her. The map zoomed in on it and Asha got a quick glimpse of the landscape before an invisible **** pulled her into the map and she started falling through the sky. Asha saw a sprawling jungle on a large peninsula, with a few islands and several ships scattered around it. She didn't have time to admire it however, because the ground was getting closer and closer, and her fall didn't seem to slow down at all. She panicked and closed her eyes, bracing for the impact, but nothing happened.

Instead of pain, she felt dazed, like she had just woken up from a dream. She was somewhere on solid ground now and felt sand underneath her. Asha also heard some voices nearby. She opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was her new body. It was definitely bigger in certain areas, just like she wanted. She looked around, trying to get her bearings. The sea was behind her, and she was laying on a beach next to a small campfire and a few wooden crates. A bit further away she saw six people. Hawk people, three men and three women, in plain brown clothes and holding simple weapons like clubs, axes and hammers. Asha noticed she had a weapon strapped to her waist too, a short sword that didn't seem to be in a very good shape, but it was still in one piece.

As the now Half-Demon got up, the hawks stopped chatting and turned around to face her.

"Glad you're up," said one of them. "So...what do ya wan' us to do, boss?"

What's next?
