Negotiate

You raise your hands up to show that you don’t want to escalate the situation.

“I’m sure we can talk this out,” you say to them.

The three of them stop, surprised that a manticore would even consider avoiding a fight. They gather side-by-side, blocking the exit.

“Hold on a second,” Sleuth says to you.

She grabs her subordinates and they huddle up together. You hear them whispering to each other, but you can’t make out their words. They finish their chat and turn back to you.

“What do you have in mind?” asks Sleuth.
