Nebula's treatment

"Of course we are!" Zoe says. "We just want Sam to be happy and successful! That's what we're all here for!"

"No, I meant with Nebula," Chris explains. "I mean, look at how Sam treats her. She's a complete nutcase who runs around with tinfoil clothes screaming about chemicals in the water and alien moon rays that target birds, and still Sam refuses to write her off."

"Well, I mean...she is kinda out there," Zoe tries.

Chris raises an eyebrow. "This coming from you? The person that even Sam thought was worth a joke or two before you became friends?"

Before Zoe can speak, Chris holds up her hand. "And look at everyone else here! Dana treats everyone like shit! Candy dumped his ass to get popular! Upsilon is a fucking robot, for God's sake! Hell, Karishma pantsed him after he tried to get a date with her!"

Zoe's eyes trail off as she realizes where Chris was going with this. "And somehow, he's still friends with all of them."

"Right," Chris says. "He's defended them from all kinds of people, just like he's defending Nebula. And he doesn't always forgive people when they go too far with his friends. You really think he'll be okay with us trying to get her expelled?"

Zoe shakes her head. "He'll hate us."

"Right," Chris agrees. "We can't let that happen. The Harem Society has never had a failure with its Beloved, and we are not gonna be the first. We gotta come up with something else for Nebula."

"Should we invite her after all?" Zoe asks.

"I'm thinking that may be the best option," Chris says. "I'll talk with the other Divisions. Maybe we can put something together for the week."

Before Chris can walk away, Zoe grabs her hand. "Wait! What about the Nurturing Head? She's not going to allow you to disobey her plan!"

Chris smiles deviously. "Oh, come on, Zoe. Everyone's gotta have a little rebellion in their lives."
