Chapter 5 by Stormdragon19 Stormdragon19

Who finds the Lamp?

Naruto finds it, and doesn't recognize it at first

"Finally back!" Naruto cheered from the top of a roof, Jiraiya looking up at him from the main gate. "I missed this place!" He shouted with joy. He'd been gone two and a half years, after all. "It hasn't changed a bit!" A few seconds of looking did tell him something was new They'd finally carved Grandma Tsunade's face into the mountain behind the village.

"Looks like you've grown up quite a bit, Naruto." Turning around, the orange clad ninja saw his team leader, Kakashi had come to greet him. "Kakashi-Sensei! You haven't changed at all! Oh yeah." He reached into his pack before fishing out a book, his sensei getting excited as he looked it over, blushing through his mask as he saw the cover. "W-whaaat!? You... How... Th-this is..."

"The most recent addition of the Icha-Icha series after three years, 'Icha Icha Tactics'!" Naruto nodded to confirm through Kakashi's stammering. "I think it's boring, but you'll really like it... I think!" He said with a grin as his sensei took the book excitedly from him. Jiraiya, the books author, simply scowled up at Naruto from where he was standing. 'Idiot, how can you not appreciate the beauty of my book at your age. You're an adult now, for heaven's sake. It's an unreleased item too. Well, the passage of time might not always fix taste...'

"All right! First step is Ichiraku Ramen!" He shouted loudly, getting back to the street and running on ahead. Kakashi and Jiraiya walked behind him slowly so as to talk about the results of his training without him hearing.

Some time later, Naruto was walking back to his apartment. He'd had a good day so far - he'd seen Tsunade again, caught up with Konohamaru, did a battle of the Sexy No Jutsu (his new improved version had won him the day), and caught up with Kakashi and how the leaf village was doing, but...

"Where is Sakura?" He wondered to himself. He had to admit he had gotten on her nerves a few times in the past, but they were teammates, right? Kakashi had even said that he wanted to test them, since they would be going on missions as equals now, but they didn't know where she was. So, that training was postponed a day while they waited for her to turn up. Sighing, he was approaching his apartment on ground level, when his foot suddenly kicked something in the grass unexpectedly. "Hmm? What's this?" It looked like an odd tea pot... maybe someone had tossed it out? Well, finders keepers as they say. He picked it up and made his way back into his apartment.

After two and a half years of being gone, everything had accumulated a coating of dust. He was glad he'd cleaned up his apartment before he left. He had to admit it had been pretty filthy, with trash laid about everywhere, including expired cartons of milk. If he hadn't, he would have expected to find something living in there - either attracted by the food trash, or somehow grown out of the garbage that had gained the ability to move around.

Setting down his things, he put some time into dusting everything. It took a little bit, but not as bad as cleaning it the first time. After that, he emptied his travel bag and put everything where it needed to go. Looking through his supplies, he saw that he had a tea packet left over from a visit to a town during his training. It seemed to be a good way to break it in, so Naruto turned on the flames first before bringing over the thrown away kettle.

Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be made of some shiny stuff, under a layer of dirt or something. Realizing this was not a good condition for something he was going to put over open flames, he took a sleeve and began to polish it. Suddenly a massive poof of pink smoke came out of it, startling Naruto enough to drop the 'tea pot' onto the stove top. While initially worried he'd started a fire by accident, the smoke quickly took on the form of...

"SAKURA!?" He shouted as the genie did indeed take the form of the pink-haired member of his team, though not entirely. In addition to her new outfit, which included golden cuffs and a translucent pink veil, her lower body was completely made of the pink smoke, coming out of the end of the kettle.

"Hello Master." She said happily, with a tender smile Naruto had never seen before when she looked at him. Honestly that was freaking him out more than everything else, including her calling him Master. He was definitely confused and alarmed, not sure what to do here. Surprisingly, Jiraiya's training never covered what to do if one of your team members was suddenly made of smoke coming out of a tea kettle calling you Master. "What's going on!? Please don't kill me!" he shouted, pressing his hands together and bowing as he begged for his life.

Sakura was also taken aback by this. Of all the people to end up her master, it had to be Naruto. Well, she supposed her appearance was surprising, and she hoped he had matured since he left. Though her new genie feelings meant that didn't really matter to her much anymore. "Calm down Master." She said in a more normal voice for him to respond to trying to calm down. When that didn't work, she resorted to a more normal (for them, anyway) tactic of snapping him out of it - punching him in the head. Though she did hold back for her master. "CALM DOWN, KNUCKLEHEAD!" she shouted, getting him to stop panicking as he layed there for a few seconds, a big bump forming on the back of his head. A few more seconds later, he was looking up at her, the new sex genie looking down at her master with a much calmer face, though she kept any excessive sense of adoration away from her features. "Yes, Master, it's me, Sakura. Now calm down while I try to explain things." She said, sighing. It would probably take a while to explain things to her rock for brains owner....

How does Naruto take the explanation?
