Nancy pranked...again!

Lounging on the couch, Max suddenly realised that Dustin and Lucas had been gone for a very long time. Dragging herself off the coach, she listened out for their voices and slowly climbed the stairs.

Peering around the corner, Max could see them whispering excitedly and conspiratorially with each other. They were standing in front of a closed door, the sound of running water muffled behind it.

"What are you guys doing?" Max asked, jumping out at them.

The boys jumped at her sudden and unexpected appearance

"Nothing!"

"You're trying to perv on Nancy in the shower, aren't you?"

"N-no! Not at all-!" they flailed guiltily, wearing an expression similar to a kid who had been caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

"Don't worry, boys," Max grinned. "I get it. Nancy's cute. But you don't have to worry about trying to pick locks. We've got our own secret weapon."

"I don't know, guys...it's mean!"

Eleven fidgeted on the couch. She didn't want to argue with her friends, but she also didn't want to humiliate Nancy.

"El, haven't you always talked about wanting to live a little?" Max asked her. "Stealing someone's clothes in the shower, it's a classic prank! Everyone does it!"

"R-really?"

"Yeah...yeah, totally!" Max said, Lucas and Dustin nodding enthusiastically in agreement. "Listen, all you need to do is unlock the door. I'll do the rest. If anyone will be blamed for this, it's me."

"Okay. I'll do it."

The boys grinned excitedly at each other as they followed the girls upstairs. This was really happening!

Closing her eyes, Eleven stretched out her hand and felt her way into the door. Locating the locking mechanism, she slowly turned it over until a CLICK could be heard. Relaxing, El saw Max creep forwards and push gently on the door. It swung open, and she tiptoed inside.

Max could make out Nancy's silhouette through the shower curtain, and grinned mischievously. The older girl was completely unaware of her presence.

Acting quickly, Max removed Nancy's change of clothes from the back of the door, scooped up the discarded jacket and collected up any towels, mats and robes she could find.

Clutching her prizes to her chest, Max retreated, grinning with the knowledge that Nancy Wheeler would have to leave the bathroom as naked as the day she was born.

Pushing back the curtain, Nancy swore loudly. Where her clothes should have been hanging, there was only a bare wooden door. A towel should have been waiting for her on the rail; instead, it was empty.

Shivering violently, Nancy stepped out of the shower and frantically searched every cupboard and shelf for something to cover herself with. With her search fruitless, she slumped onto the tiled floor, rocking backwards and forwards and burying her face in her hands.

What had she done to deserve this?! She just wanted to wear clothes, was that so unreasonable to ask? Oh, when she got out of there, Nancy was going to KILL Mike and his stupid, dumb friends!

But HOW was she going to get out of there? There was no point calling out for help; the little creeps were probably outside the door right now, waiting for her! Her bedroom was only a few steps down the hall, she could probably sprint there in just a few seconds. But what if they'd set traps for her? Something to slow her down, to make her trip up. Suddenly, her bedroom felt like it was miles away.

No! Nancy was just being paranoid. They wouldn't do that! Or would they? Nancy wouldn't put anything past those twerps.

She massaged her stomach as it rumbled loudly. The brunette couldn't stay in there forever, and definitely didn't want to be there when her parents got home. How would she explain to her mom and dad why she was sitting in the bathroom, soaking wet, completely naked and with no clothes?

Nancy chewed her fingernails as she weighed up her options.

None of them were appealing.
