Leanne began to back away. But each time she did so the clown advanced nearer. Soon she was backed up the far wall. Her rear pressed tight against a small window. She glanced behind her and saw the grounds of Rosefield Manor. She was on the first floor and could drop to the outside without doing much damage to herself. Without giving the clown opportunity to get any nearer she slid the window open and turned ready to jump. However, her fear of falling got the better of her and she gripped the ledge before lowering herself down, hoping to lessen the drop.
