Morgan goes to get a task from the Warden

Roll +BRAVERY (+2) (+0 Bravery, +2 FRIEND) to ENCOUNTER the Warden of Leontes, Barbara Torch, and ask her for a GOAL.

On a 7-9, when you ENCOUNTER the Warden, you have to convince her.

"Why aren't you talking to the Tutor?" Barbara Torch asks. As usual, she's in her brief dueling costume rather than the full House Leontes robes.

"Well, the Tutor and I talked a few days ago," you say. While you were covering for Pip while she was doing her burglary as a doll-sized thief. "The same day you and I talked last. The Tutor seemed a bit in a hurry, and I wasn't sure I wanted to take up his suggestions. I mean, I'm not bad at dueling, but it's not what I like most. So I thought I'd talk with you about tasks to take on to help get me settled in House Leontes. I mean, especially after you thanked me about the Assistant Warden."

"Indeed, Morgan, that was a bold act," the Warden says, "Confronting the centaurs when they had hold of Miss Hornbeam."

For which you had owed Pip a favor, which had led to you running the gauntlet of Tutor, Warden, and Assistant Warden while pint-sized Pip was struggling with her boyfriend's diary.

Barbara Torch gives you an appraising look. "To tell you the truth, Mr. Sharper gave you good advice," she says. "I would be happy to send you to him with my recommendation."

You blink, sensing that the Warden has more to say.

"Or perhaps if you want me to assign you a task," the Warden begins. "Well, perhaps a good start would be attending your celebration of the real reason you've joined House Leontes."

You feel yourself go cold, then warm.

"You want to be close to Miss Redmoor," the Warden says. "But alas, you have been too busy. I would be happy to arrange a time and furnish a place."

You look at the Warden hopefully.

"As long as I can be there," the Warden says.

You hold in a sigh.

When you ENCOUNTER the Warden, asking for a GOAL to improve your settling in to House Leontes, she offers you two choices:

• A recommendation to the Tutor, Preston Sharper. ENCOUNTER the Tutor (+BRAVERY, +1 Forward) to ask for a GOAL.
• A small sex party. Roll +BRAVERY to HAVE SEX in the Warden's presence. On a 7+, she will grant you a GOAL and, using House Leontes' Sex Move, a FAVOR.
