More recruits

Mark and I make our way through the rest of the ward. We're able to recruit three more people. A woman named Diane who was dying of late stage breast cancer, a man named Freddy who was dying of Mesothelioma and an eighteen year old boy dying of a brain tumor.

Tommy the eighteen year old suggests we leave the otherwise abandoned hospital so we head to the elevators and go down to the first floor. Heading to the emergency room exits we come across a victim of a hit and run accident that was abandoned by the hospital staff, he is at deaths door. I quickly get on top of him as he weeps.

"Do you want to live or die? The choice is yours." Without thinking of the price he says live. Do too the severity of his injuries I don't have time to turn him in the usual fashion. I bite into his neck and simultaneously slice my wrist with my exposed talon and make him drink of my blood.

As he drinks new life enters his body and he hisses showing his new fangs. His wounds are healed. He stands up and looks upon his new vampiric body then introduces himself. "My name is Joey, I was hit by a drunk driver and my friends dropped me off here. They didn't stick around as the hospital was being abandoned." We all introduce ourselves to Joey then leave the hospital
