The trip back to the facility ends without any further issues, although Kyrie teases Mike continually after he mentions the phone number. Alicia looks amused, and mentions that they really need to get him a communicator. When they walk inside after parking, they’re met by a very impatient Damon.

He sighs as they walk through the door. “What took so long?”

Alicia explains what happened, and Damon nods. “I suppose we should have expected the seedier elements to get involved. You’re all ok, though. And this Melody, she wasn’t hostile?”

Mike shakes his head. “Quite the opposite. I think she was flirting with us.”

Kyrie nods. “You in particular, stud, but yes, she definitely was open to all of us.”

Damon chuckles. “It’s not surprising. Come with me, I’ll show you.”

He leads the way into one of the labs, and pulls up some data on a computer. “Based on what I’ve found, I would imagine that you’re going to be getting a lot of attention.”

Mike looks at the screen, but it’s full of jargon he doesn’t understand. Alicia steps up beside him, her eyes flicking over the screen. As she reads, she casually rests a hand on Mike’s butt, which makes him chuckle. She gives him a wink, then goes back to reading.

After a bit, she looks to Damon. “Am I reading this right?”

He nods. “If what you’re reading is that he is producing pheromones that attract sexual desire, then yes. They’re weak thus far, but I would imagine they’ll grow stronger the more he interacts with others.”

Kyrie laughs. “How weak? What do they do right now?”

Damon shrugs. “They may slightly enhance an attraction that already exists. But it’s not mind control or anything like that. But who knows how strong it could get.”

Alicia nods. “Something to keep an eye on.”

Damon sighs. “Which leads to the next thing. We’ve been missing a critical step, given the nature of these changes.”

Mike raises an eyebrow. “And what’s that?”

Damon looks at him. “We’ve scanned you repeatedly, we’ve tested your blood, but given the sexual nature of what’s happening, we should take a semen sample as well.”

Kyrie giggles. “I can help with that!”

Damon shakes his head. “Actually, someone already volunteered for that job, as long as Mike has no objections.”

Mike looks at him curiously. “Oh? Who’s that?”
