Chapter 9 by Rowenar Rowenar

What waits for them there?

More humiliation for Larxene

Cat Street stretched out before them. Larxene crouched behind a sign advertising a shop, refusing to go near the threshold of the building in case the effect of the sigil inside it stretched out. Namine stood beside her, the normally shy girl's confidence a stark contrast to the perpetually blushing blonde beside her.

"I don't see any cat," Namine said. She tilted her head.

The street stretched on. A handful of people, thankfully not nearly as much as the crossing even if far more than Larxene wanted anywhere near her like this, wandered up and down it; no one was screaming, no one was fighting. If there was a monster here as the message implied, it was hiding well.

Damn it. They had to kill this thing to get the day over with; Larxene fidgeted, shifting to crouch lower so that her ass wasn't quite as visible. Days seemed to end almost as soon as they finished the mission, only a little time after, so once they got rid of the creature she'd be a day closer to getting her clothes back.

"Look harder," Larxene said. "It's got to be here somewhere."

"Unless it's not," Namine said. "This might not be the cat they were talking about. We should go back."

"No!" Larxene yelped, then swallowed. No way was she going back through the city. "Look around here first. You'd better make sure it's not around."

This area had been accessible, at least. Some roads were blocked off by barriers without Reapers around, getting here had been all empty streets, or one or two Reapers she'd zapped into opening the way.

Hopefully that was a good sign.

Her blush deepened automatically when Namine looked at her, smiling curiously.

"It might be hidden," she said. "Use your pin. If you can sense thoughts, maybe you can sense it."

Larxene hesitated. Damn it, why did that sound like a good idea?! She still had her pin in hand at least, it was easy enough to carry while still covering up and she hadn't wanted to lower her arm for a second to put it away again, but she still remembered what people had been thinking before.

And no doubt Namine was still going to insist that she still couldn't use her pin. When they won and got their entry fees back, Larxene hoped the brat would feel at least a little shame.

Fuck it. She closed her eyes, shifting lower down the sign, attuning herself to the pins. Glimmers of blue surrounded her, disparate thoughts; thankfully, this far from the crossing, it seemed not everyone was remembering her exposure.

Wish I'd been there. Mate said a hot woman sprinted through the ground floor, he got a look at everything.

Larxene squeaked. But apparently some had _still _heard about it. Cheeks aflame, she tried to keep looking.

Huh, that looked different; there was a glimmer of red, a far cry from any mind. Maybe if she focused on that, it could be the target...

Worth an art piece, blonde, pink nipples, not heard anything solid about her downstairs yet though. Gonna paint it where everyone can see, this'll be so popular!

She squealed again. Oh god, she really hoped she was reading that thought incorrectly. Blazing red, she pressed on-

Something leapt out of the shadows. She didn't need to focus on the pin to see it now; the red resolved itself into a creature, not quite a Heartless but similar enough that it was clear she had to fight it. Definitely feline too.

This was it!

And then Larxene hesitated again. She glanced over the sign, then glanced back at her unbearable partner.

Oh god. She had to fight it. Namine was hardly going to be any good in a fight, her only powers were too specific in use and it wasn't like she had any practise. This would come down to her Organization XIII training and spells, if she wanted to get this over with. Spells she couldn't do while crouching behind the sign.

The cat-thing took slow, wary footsteps closer. It seemed to be readying for something; not good.

Six days left. Almost five. At least it couldn't get any worse. Right? She'd be happy if she never saw this world again.

Larxene stood up straighter and threw a thunder spell at the creature; before the crackle had died down, she summoned up another ball. Yellow crackled from her fingertips, bolts arcing across the street, all apparently unnoticed by the normal passers by.

The creature howled, each blow making it need to take a moment to right itself, never getting balance or focus enough to lunge, but damn it was tough. It was still taking damage, still resisting.

And all the while, Larxene needed both of her arms stretched forwards to control her magic. She couldn't risk even a second of modesty, not if it would let the creature get enough time to refocus and attack.

She stood up straight, doing her utmost to try and forget the fact that other Players would be heading right for this location, especially now she'd opened the barriers. Her behind too high to be hidden by the sign she'd crouched behind, and then the rest of her... Her tits, apparently soon to be the subject of street art, exposed and rocking slightly as she **** of her spells made her move, her pussy bare to the wind kicked up by her magic, every inch light up by regular flashes of yellow.

If nothing else, it was an incentive to really go to town on the cat-thing, she had a lot of frustration to work out.

Doing which not helping in the slightest to cope with the feeling of nudity. Her pale nipples hardened slightly in the air; she took one step forwards to try and hide her pussy behind a toned thigh from the side Namine was standing, but she could only do that to one direction.

And the street sill wasn't empty, especially with a shop on her other side, people she could only silently hope couldn't see her.

The creature slumped forwards. One bolt of lightning later and Larxene crouched again, this time on the other side of the sign. She turned, cheeks blazing red; half a dozen people were staring.

Oh god. Players. There had been more; she ducked her head lower behind the sign, not wanting them to see even her face after how much of a view they must have gotten of the rest of them. Oh god-

Something stirred. She barely had enough time to turn, hearing the scraping of footsteps, before she saw the creature lunge towards her.

Fuck! Either this was its last breath, or it had been faking ****. She didn't have the time to summon a spell-

Suddenly it was flung backwards, away from her. As it crashed into the distant street it vanished into a flare of static; her hand tingled briefly as the timer vanisher. Beside her, Namine let out a long breath.

Eyes wide, Larxene turned to her.

"Since when could you do that?!" the blonde said.

"Since coming here," Namine said, almost bashfully. "The pins they gave me, I can't use all of them but they seem to have some spells. That kind of psychokinesis is the easiest."

"You can fight?! You could have helped! I- I did all that for nothing?!" Larxene shrieked.

She began to stand again, as though to lunge for her partner. Glimpsing the watching Players out of the corner of her eye however, she quickly crouched back down behind the sign, nervously adjusting her arms.

"You didn't ask," Namine said innocently.

Oh god, how many people had seen her because of that brat- how much had they seen?!

Does anything else happen that day, or does tomorrow come?
