"This is worse!" protested Susie, a lovely shade of rose-petal pink suffusing her cheeks as she stood before the amused crowd in an spangly pink fairy princess costume. Tiara, leotard, tutu, diaphanous fairy wings, the works. "You're not allowed to do things like this. Isn't there a Conjurer's Code of Conduct?"

"Strangely, no. But if you're not happy with that outfit, you can always get back in the box."

"Listen," said Bonnie, sitting so far to stage right that she was almost concealed by the curtain. "I think you'd better leave Susie alone now, or..." But nobody was listening to her, and nobody was noticed when a pair of white-gloved hands reached out from behind the velvet curtain and silently snatched her away. Such was the power of misdirection.

Susie put her hands on her hips, which in the fairy princess costume managed to be almost exactly the opposite of intimidating, and tried to stare Zamora down. It didn't work. The pretty, raven-haired stage magician, with a wild gypsy beauty that was barely contained by her tight, formal costume, only tipped her a wink and said "Of course, if you like being a fairy princess..."

The crowd tittered. Susie did her best to insinuate with a short puff of breath that they were all philistines who'd laugh at anything, and really they were the ones who ought to be embarrassed. Not deigning to respond to their crude taunts and cries of "Wave your magic wand, princess!", she turned on her heel and stepped back into the box. Anyway, she didn't even have a magic wand. Zamora had that.

The crowd was presented, in short order, with Susie in a French maid outfit, Susie in a Japanese schoolgirl uniform, Susie as a Playboy bunny, Susie in a sexy nurse costume and Susie in nothing but a towel. A few wolf-whistles followed her back into the cabinet as she hastily retreated once more.
