More Project Talks

The next day, Zack was meeting up with Alice to go over what they had come up with so far. Zack seemed to know more about everything that was going on with the project, so he was doing most of the research, where Alice would be putting the information together and typing it up. The two of them met up at their usual place, Malcolm’s cafe, and pulled out all of the information that they had so far.

“So, I have most of the stuff together that I needed to look into. There is stuff about protection, positions, how to do different techniques and stuff like that.” Zack said as they started to talk about everything that they had compiled.

“That is a good list of stuff. I wish I could help you out with this, but I have no experience. It would be nice to get some though.” Alice said as she sent him a genuine smile letting Zack know that she had hoped that he would be the one to help her out.

“We’ll see what we can do about that later. For now, let’s focus on the project.” Zack said as he wasn’t ready to bring up the idea of Gavin yet.

“Oh, this is a lot of information. Can you help me compile it into something that is more about the details so that I know what to use when it is time for me to start typing?” Alice asked.

“I would be happy too. I already have a lot of stuff highlighted for you, but if you want to look over it again. I am fine with that.” Zack said and Alice nodded as Zack moved over so that he was now beside her and they started to get into more details about their project.

After a while, the two of them had everything together that needed to be typed up, so Alice was about to stand up and get back to work being that it was her day to have a shift at the cafe, when Sharon and Ashley walked in. Alice took their order as she went back to work.

Ashley and Sharon sat at the table that Alice had just left and soon Alice was back with their orders. They thanked her and then once she was gone, the two girls turned their attention to Zack.

“So, did you bring up anything about Gavin?” Sharon asked.

“Not yet. We were a bit preoccupied with working on the project with the time that she had for her break. I was about to, but I didn’t want to get her into trouble.” Zack said .

Sharon didn’t look pleased, but Ashley nodded, knowing that the most important thing going on right now was their projects, so she agreed with Zack.

“Are you shitting me? You were supposed to lay the groundwork so that when we came in, it would be easier for us to talk to her about getting with Gavin.” Sharon said, not happy with the current situation.

“Calm down, Sharon. Everything is going to be okay. This can still work out for us. When she comes back we need to start up a conversation with her and bring it up then.” Ashley said.

“If you say so.” Sharon said, still a bit pissed off that her boyfriend didn’t do his job.

After about ten minutes, Alice came back to see if they needed anything else. The cafe was surprisingly quiet, so Alice was able to hang out with them more because of that.

“So Alice, are you dating anyone right now?” Ashley asked.

“Not at the moment. I was dating Jake for a while, but that ended a while back.” Alice said.

“That means that you are ready to get back into the dating game then, I would guess.” Sharon said, with the best smile that she could muster at the moment.

“I guess, if it is a good guy, I would be willing to get back into dating someone again.” Alice said.

“That is great to hear. If you don’t mind, I have a guy that could be of interest to you.” Sharon said.

“I am willing to see what you have in mind.” Alice said.

“We think that you and our friend Gavin would make a good couple. If you are willing, we could set you up with him for a date.” Ashley said.

“Gavin seems to be a sweet guy, even though he seems to talk about his rocket way too much. To tell you the truth, I find it kind of funny.” Alice said as she chuckled thinking about it.

This surprised the other three at the table. They never thought that anyone would find Gavin’s rocket talk funny. This was working out better than expected for the throuple.

“So, what do you say? Want us to put in a good word for you?” Ashley asked.

“I don’t see why not. It’s about time for me to put myself back out there.” Alice said.

“Great. Why don’t you meet up with us Monday at school? We can get everything setup then.” Ashley said almost jumping for joy being that they had just about everything setup for Gavin and Alice.

“I can do that. Will Gavin know about this before I show up or will he still be in the dark about it?” Alice asked.

“We will talk to him tomorrow. I think both of you should be in the know, before meeting up for the first time.” Sharon said.

“What do you think about this, Zack?” Alice asked, since Zack had been very quiet.

“I think it is a good idea. I don’t have much to add being that the girls seem to have everything taken care of.” Zack said.

“I need to get back to work. I will see the three of you on Monday.” Alice said as she left the table and went back to work.

“So, that went well.” Zack said and both of his girlfriends smiled back at him.

“Yeah, it went much easier than I thought it was going too.” Ashley said.

“You look like you are in a better mood now.” Zack said to Sharon, who just shrugged, causing him to chuckle.

“I am. I would have been in a good mood the whole time that I have been here if you would have done your job.” Sharon said with a smirk on her face, letting Zack know that she was just teasing him.

“I will do better next time. So, I guess I will be the one that is going to talk to Gavin tomorrow?” Zack asked.

“Yes. This is another job for you to do. Don’t mess it up.” Sharon said.

“I won’t. I promise.” Zack said as drew a cross over his heart, letting the two girls know that he was on it.

“And please talk to him about the rocket thing. We don’t need him messing things up by talking about that the whole time. Even though she thinks it funny, she doesn’t know Gavin like we do. It hasn’t gotten old for her yet.” Ashley said.

“I will be sure to bring that up. We all know who he is though. He might hold that talk back some, but I don’t know if it would ever stop completely.” Zack said.

“I will kick his ass if he messes this up. I know he is already scared of me, so maybe I should join you for the conversation tomorrow.” Sharon said.

“That is probably a good idea. You are correct about Gavin being scared of you.” Ashley said.

“So, it is set up then. Sharon and I will meet up with Gavin tomorrow and talk to him. Sharon threatening bodily harm if he messes this up.” Zack said.

“Oh, this is going to be so much fun.” Sharon said with a smirk on her lips as she thought about the look that would be on Gavin’s face when she threatened him.

“I think you are looking forward to this too much. You must be the evil mastermind in our throuple.” Ashley said as she was laughing.

“I’m not evil, but it is fun making Gavin scared of me.” Sharon said.

“I think you might scare him into giving up his rocket talk for the time being. Like Zack said though, I don’t think it will go away forever.” Ashley said.

“Yeah. I think it is ingrained in him at this point. I just hope that he doesn’t start to talk about it while having sex. That would be a major turn off for me.” Sharon said.

“At least you don’t have to worry about it. You are all mine.” Zack said.

“Yes I am.” Sharon said as she kissed Zack on the cheek.

“What about me?” Ashley asked.

“You’re all mine too.” Zack said.

“Yep. So, when do you think you will talk to Gavin tomorrow?” Ashley asked.

“I don’t know for sure. Probably sometime after lunch. You wouldn’t want to join us too, would you?” Zack aske Ashley.

“I wouldn’t mind spending more time with the two of you. Plus, I am good with setting people up, so it might be good for me to be there. We can use Sharon threatening him for last. Let that be the last thing he hears before we leave so that it is fresh in his mind.” Ashley said.

“And you called me evil. If it was me, I would have threatened him a few times through the conversation, but you want to leave it to the end. I knew you had a devious side to you.” Sharon said.

“What can I say? I did pick up some things from my sister.” Ashley said with a shrug.

“By the way, we need to go shopping again sometime so that you can show me more about getting discounts like you did last time.” Sharon said.

“What are you two talking about?” Zack asked.

“Oh, nothing.” Ashley said and both of the girls laughed as the three of them continued to talk for a bit longer before they decided what time they were going to meet up the next day and talk to Gavin. Soon after that, they left the cafe and made their way to their homes.
