More Messaging

As the days went on Rikki had given up on Devin only messaging her for emergencies. However, she had managed to steer the conversation away from anything to inappropriate. It had been a lot messages like what’s your favourite movie, what are your plans for the weekend, how’s work going?

Although she knew she was crossing a professional line she couldn’t help but enjoy messaging Devin. It was good to see someone who had come from such a bad place be so positive and try so hard to be good. It made her job as both a hero and a parole officer feel worth it.

She still kept the messages a secret. Regardless of how she justified it to herself it wasn’t something she wanted getting known.
