More Knocking

Tammy woke slowly, a dull hitting sound waking her from her dreams. She heard then a loud ringing, and figured it was the doorbell. Figuring it was Alice again, she grabbed her two pillows and went to the door to greet her friend. A look at the clock said it was 1:00, already past time to get up. She didn’t even look outside, and pulled the door open, hiding her body behind the frame.
