How Do Things Progress from Here?

More Issues

Yuletharnia stared at her layout, she had arranged the structure of her to have passageways that anything over nine feet high and 7 feet wide wouldn’t be able to move freely between rooms. The design was intentional so as to discourage theft by other dragons, most dragons are far too prideful to alter their form for any reason within the walls of their own lair, a facility that a being like one that is familiar transformations and used to transforming to deal with a variety of tasks was more likely to appreciate Yuletharnia’s efforts. Various races, especially those of a reptilian nature, were known for their respect for dragons, which sometimes manifested something akin to a full-blown religion. Yuletharnia couldn’t recall ever getting the treatment of effectively being a living god but she had seen quite a few cases with various other dragons.

Such interactions would have definitely made her life a bit easier, maybe she could start a cult dedicated to the devil dragon of lust and situate herself as one of its key figures, but that could take years she probably wouldn’t have without a stable food source. When it came down to things, she just didn’t have enough to consume, it was times like this she was jealous of other demonic dragons with how they could subsist. Demonic dragons of Wrath could subsist on the rage and aggression of nearby creatures, it’s why they often went on senseless rampages that caused immense collateral damage with very little in the way of actual ****; demonic dragons of Envy could subsist on the envy and jealousy of other creatures, it’s why they often laired near major trading establishments, they were great centers of those states of mind; demonic dragons of Sloth could subsist on apathy and laziness, something that they were also guilty of themselves, and also why they often laired near establishments and communities with a general sense of complacency, those were the best places to find those states of mind; demonic dragons of Gluttony could subsist on the consumption of just about anything, it’s why they often laired near resource-rich areas, and slaying them could earn you highly concentrated versions of the resource they consumed; demonic dragons of Greed could subsist on a sense of avarice and greed, it’s why they often laired in places with known to hold hoarders, it made it easier to harvest that sort of thing, they also tended to have the most diverse hoards among dragons because of predetermination towards greed; but demonic dragons of Lust, like Yuletharnia herself, had the ability to subsist as if they were regulr succubi, this made things easier and harder be of how enlightened races tended to react to entities like succubi and guard themselves against such creatures.

Sure, Yuletharnia could find herself a brothel or bordello and use that to feed, such places were practically overflowing with lust and sexual energies, but Yuletharnia was very discerning about her meals when it came to that approach, the lust and sexual energies of individuals depending on a variety of factors, most of which had nuances that would be almost impossible to describe to creatures that didn’t have the kinds of abilities that succubi, incubi, and succubus dragons possessed. Yuletharnia wanted her lust and sexual energies to be “pure” and not tainted by the essences of other sins and desires, such things are almost impossible to find at houses of ill-repute, such places tended to be dens of all sins, not just a single one, and sex with most races wasn’t just sex, it was often used as tool or weapon by or against others, this often resulted in hybrid races that were unwelcome in the worlds of both parents. Occasionally, you would get sexual energies charged with lover or lust that resulted in wanted offspring, but such cases were incredibly rare. And while love was the virtue often used as an example as the counterbalance to lust, demonic dragons of that vice felt almost no ill-effects when encountering the emotion, this was mostly because the actual counterbalance to love was Sloth, but most mortal beings didn’t realize this for practically their entire lives.

So now, here was Yuletharnia, looking at the issue of having next to no food, none of her hunts as of late were fruitful and who knew when the next food shipment would pass through the area closest to her lair. To make matters worse, there was almost no big game to help sate her appetite. If there was, then she was doing a poor job of finding it, maybe she would get lucky on that front soon.
