Morale Building

Except for that nightmare incident, your remaining rest time was okay and everything else was uneventful that night as the sun rises on your watch. As usual, you were exhausted during it and know that neither you or Rachael would be effective in battle or protecting your sister. You and Rachael spent a few more hours of watching and resting until the sun was higher. You proceeded to wake your sleeping companions. "Good morning, how you two rested?" they both nodded their heads. "OK. I will prepare breakfast, but it's going to be light. Don't want to overindulge."

They understood your decision and started putting up their sleeping bags and waited. You did so as well as it cooked. A little while later it was ready, and you told them to sit down as you prepare their bowls. You three sat there eating as well as making sure no one disturbs you. After the infected Seviper incident last afternoon, you don't want to end up in the same situation twice in a short time.

"Hey Rai, how much further to Silverhills?" Rachael asks while eating. You thought about it as you brought out your map. Once opening it, you pinpoint the location of Twilight Cave and find a small forest near it. "We must be here, and Silverhills is quite a distance that way. We made good progress exiting the cave quickly. If we keep moving and if we're lucky, we should arrive before sundown." You point it out to them. "Hopefully we'll find out something about a survivor camp." Rachael says, "Yeah, me too."

After finishing up, you three clean up around the camp and put on your packs. "Is everyone ready?" Rachael nods, but Kate puts up her hand as she says, "I got to go to the bathroom." You sigh and tell her to be quick and don't go too far. she nods and dash out of sight a second later. "Wow she's fast. I'm surprised you can keep up with her." Rachael comments about your sister. You sigh and say, "She takes after her mother.”

When you mentioned your mother, you started to think about them and the others. They had to turn long by now. I hope they're still alive at least. What kind of sick monster would do this? You thought quietly. Rachael took sight of this and pat your back to comfort you. You smile and say thanks, but then you think about her folks. "What happened to your family? If you don't mind telling me."

She saddens and says, "The same as yours, except they already liked them before I arrived home. I was attacked by them before I escaped. I was making my way to an exit before that Swampert attacked me. I was tired already, and if it wasn't for you. I might've been that frog's lunch." "I'm sorry, we'll bring them back. I promise." She smiles at your words.

After Kate returns, The three of you continue on, you hope nothing bad happens as you make your way towards Silverhills.
