Moony, the clown girl

Carnivals seemed like they'd be a thing of the past in the modern year, but there was on that just never seemed to go away. It sat right on the outskirts of town, big enough to be seen towering over the suburbs with its tents, Ferris wheel, and rollercoaster drops. There were even reports that they still held animals there, but somehow kept them all happy as if they hosted some kind of sanctuary for the creatures.

The main reason you knew all this was that carnies from the circus kept showing up on Career Day or to advertise jobs at the school. Almost every one that joined was a woman, and a surprisingly attractive one at that. Stil, something made the place seem...off. So, you've figured it's in your best interest to keep away.

Only one thing gave that thought pause: the most recurrent worker was a girl your age named Moony. She wasn't as flashy or colorful as other clowns: her outfit was a black-and-white striped shirt and black pants and shoes, kind of like a French Mime. Her face was painted white with purple lipstick, blue eyeshadow, a red painted nose instead of a fuzzy fake one, and a black half-moon on her left cheek. Her shoulder-length hair was evenly parted down the middle, with one side dyed orange and the other violet.

Whenever she sees you, she excitedly races towards you holding up a bunch of pamphlets for events and job opportunities at the carnival. You always take one to be polite, something that she always appreciates. Curiously, you've never heard her speak. She makes a finger wave with one hand while flashing you a shiny white smile. One time, she even blew you a kiss and gave you a small wink. For the rest of the day, you asked yourself if you have some kind of newfound interest in clown girls.

Soon, the two of you would be **** to endure something stranger, and more embarrassing, than simply attending a haunted carnival.
